This is the discussion thread for the OcUK Twitch Stream Official PUBG Tournament.

For details on the format, dates and prizes, and to signup your squad please follow the instructions and use the thread HERE

I liked the idea of a B01 to level the playing field a bit more in the qualifiers as the main thing we wanted to achieve with this tournament was getting our community together to play against each other with the reward of some great prizes! Not just getting some amazing players to come and duke it out on our stream.

We are considering extending the final match for the top prizes to be a BO3 as it seems to be what most people are wanting.

You also have to think the guys who stay behind and stream have homes and families to go to, and a keyholder, who locks up, has to wait behind while we stream so there are many considerations about how long we run for of an evening.

We'll try and keep everyone as happy as we can though, it was why I included a:

The rest of us don't stand a chance... @NikTheSHNIK are style and comedy points available? If so we are sure to win :)

We have the second tier final with the bottom 6 teams from each final so you'll be in with a chance on that.

Spot prizes for stupid things in the final may be a good shout though.

In both final games we'll also have a joint OcUK/Steelseries team with bounty prizes for if you kill them :)

Just waiting for my 4th man but genuinely we are some of the oldest and worst players you will ever see. Literally zero tactics but we will bring the bants. I shall hopefully have us signed up later today. :p

See you in the arena!

*Looks at the 1 post usernames signing up*

Should have just made it exclusive to forum members signed up before the announced date if you wanted it to be about the OCUK community playing together :(

Ah you'll still all be playing together and with some pro players too! The pros being in the mix just means your chances of winning the top prize is less...

@NikTheSHNIK Could you please explain the qualifiers to me?

  • 19:00/19:30 Tuesday 4th September 2018 - Qualifier 1 + 2
  • 19:00/19:30 Thursday 6th September 2018 - Qualifier 3 + 4

    1. Does that mean there are a total of 4 qualifying games?
    2. If so, does the team have to participate in all 4 games in order to qualify?
    3. Is a points based system with kills and placement points used, or is based entirely on placement alone?
    4. What are the terms and conditions if one of the team members can't make it to either of the 4 qualifiers? Can the team proceed with 3 players?

Thanks a lot for your time!

1. Does that mean there are a total of 4 qualifying games?
  • 4 BO1 Qualifiers. Each team will only participate in 1 Qualifier.
2. If so, does the team have to participate in all 4 games in order to qualify?
  • see above
3. Is a points based system with kills and placement points used, or is based entirely on placement alone?
  • Placement alone. There is a prize for most kills, also bounties on the OcUK/Steelseries team in the heats. Kill them, receive a Rival 110.
4. What are the terms and conditions if one of the team members can't make it to either of the 4 qualifiers? Can the team proceed with 3 players?
  • If someone on your team drops out you can occupy the slot given with the remaining team members (no subs though and you had to have played in one of the qualifiers to play in the final).

so communityu comp with ringers not from teh community playing.my oh my. who dreams this up ? why not just have forums members from here taking part.maybe just maybe those from here who play everyday post here everyday ? thats ocuk community . not some pro ringers brought it for the comp. glad im not in this. seriously sort it out.

We've ran forum only ones in the recent past. We'll be running others in the future.

We are feeling out the best ways to run these things as we are all new to this. Chill, and keep an eye out for the next Forums only one to take part in if you wish to.

If the team in first place has players from outside the UK in (and we'll know when we ask for addresses to deliver the prizes to) then the prizes will go to the second place team, and if they have players from outside the UK in the 3rd place team, etc. ect.

Looking forward to seeing how the amateur teams hold up against some of the pro's.

All it takes is a lucky grenade and immortal glory is yours forever! Think of the salt...

Also last time some of our players were excellent, Ingr4m I'm looking at you

What is the best way to get notified about them?

Follow the OcUK Facebook, Twitter and Twitch channel. Then we also post in the Streams thread what we'll be playing that week and if there is something big on we'll make a thread in the Latest News page.

Social channel links can be found on the OcUK homepage, twitch link on the signup thread and that is in the latest news page :)

That would be good, we are not top players but BO1 is just too random, anyway, are there going to be any sort of points for kills? Otherwise people are going to avoid fights!

There is a prize for most kills in each heat and final.

Players who think they don't have a cat in hells chance of winning the tourney should just go on rampage mode!
