So I tried my reverb g2 on ams2 without any changes. Got pretty nauseous after 20mins driving. Need to tweak it I think but I didn’t feel well even an hour after. Made it harder to get to sleep after.

Not sure if this has been mentioned to you before, but, if you start to feel nauseous, stop immediately. Don't try to push through it.

Check your FPS. If it's too low, it'll make you sick. Not sure what framerate the G2 runs at but I'm careful to run my Quest 2 at a solid 72fps (fastest my GFX card can manage).

do you do any other VR games ?
if your new to fast pace stuff, it will take time to adjust

what games have you been playing recently ?
or have you just picked it up after a long time ?

This is my first vr experience. I’ve been spending more time on beat saber which I can do for maybe 45mins at a time.

I only fired up ams2 as that was the main goal for getting a vr headset. I stopped as soon as I had discomfort and I appreciate the advice.

I’ll need to get some apps to track fps in VR and tweak my settings over time. I probably should build up my time slowly.

that will be why you felt that way then

Sim Racing you need really STRONG VR legs im afraid

you need to build up to it, it could take weeks or months to do

take it easy and google for tips

Nah, I think sim racing's one of the easier VR applications to get your legs in for most people.
Anything where you're walking and not actually moving is where the trouble usually starts pretty quick.

I read somewhere ages ago that, if you're in a cockpit, it helps to ground yourself so doesn't confuse your brain so much.

On the other hand, if I smash into a wall (often happens :p) and I put the car in reverse and floor the throttle, that's guaranteed to make my stomach flip since my brain expects there to be that change in G-force. :D

I found it hard when I started because of the pure speed and cornering made me go, but if you come off the track and wobble or spin the car, it hits your brain quite hard for the first dozen times

Yeah, I'm not saying it's a seamless transition for everyone. I just don't think it's one of the harder ones, though everyone's different.

The first thing I did when I got VR was jump in something fast at Nordschleife. I lasted a lap and needed a break  Pretty quick adjustment after that though.
