Hi gang
I have just completed my latest build:

E6600 2.4Ghz (OC'd on air to 3.6Ghz stable !!)
Asus P5B (Latest Bios 1202)
4 Gb OCZ PC2-9200 1150Mhz
+ all the usual bits and bobs ...

All is very cool except that the ram wont register as 1150 and the bios timings appear to be off.

CPUz is giving contrary readings too:

Under the Memory Tab:
Type: DDR2
Size: 4096MBytes
Channels #: Dual

Timings:
Frequency: 500Mhz
FSB:DRAM: 4:5
CAS#Latency:5.0 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay:5 clocks
RAS# Precharge: 5 clocks
Cycle Time (Tras): 15 clocks

Under the SPD tab
Slot #1 (all 4 slots read the same)
Module size: 1024 MBytes
Max Bandwidth: PC2-6400 (400Mhz)
Manufactuer: OCZ
Part Number: OCZ2RPR11502GK

Timings Table
Frequancy: 571Mhz
CAS#Latency:5.0 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay:5 clocks
RAS# Precharge: 5 clocks
Tras: 15 clocks
Trc:32
Command Rate: 2T

Ok so I'm the first to admit that I don't really know what I'm rambling about but is their a simple explanation for the discrepancy. The timings for SPD seem about right but under the Memory it appears off. Is this just a limitation of the Mother Board or something more esoteric?

Thanks

Thanks

The only way I can see of selecting the correct DRAM frequency is to set the CPU frequency to 575 which will allow the DRAM Frequency to be selected as 1150 (2 x 575) however under this configuration the system wont post :( I'm starting to figure that this is a board limitation.
