Death Star or Mount Doom, it depends on the day.
3 questions:

I already have 2x1gb of Ocz platinum 6400 ram and have just recently bought an aditional 2x1gb of Overclocker as it was on offer this week. Iam aware that XP 32 doesn't recognise 4gb so my plan was to stick an extra 1gb of my new ram in. My 3 questions are:

1) The ram I bought of Overclockers was the second revision of the ram, my original ram is the first edition. Will this have any compatibiliy issues?

2) A friend said that my motherboard may have issues running 3gb as a slot will be empty, is this true?

3) Will I lose my current dual channel?

If any of these are a factor a may send it back. Help please.

1 - Should be ok, but you can never be certain.

2 - Nope it's nonsense.

3 - Yip you'll lose dual-channel. But it has little effect.

Plug in all 4 sticks. Nothing to loose from using all 4 rather tan just 3.

I'm running 4 gig of OCZ 6400 too, 2 different revisions.

But I have also heard a rumour that if you put 4gb in on a 32 operating system it can cause it to run slower, than what 3gb does. Is this the case?
