In all fairness if you're not that sure about SSDs then you're perhaps misreading the reviews. It's not noticably slower than any other SSD. Many reviews show you lots of graphs but end with the caveat that real world performance feels no difference.
The difference with a mechanical drive is staggering.

Indeed, getting an SSD has probably been the single best upgrade I've made in a long time. Most of the time when you upgrade a part you get (hopefully) a not inconsequential improvement.
The improvement seen with an SSD is orders of magnitude that of a standard upgrade.
I'm just annoyed I managed to buy mine just as they started to drop
(Still worth it though)

Is there really that much of a real world difference putting these into RAID?
Kinda like double infinity still being infinity I would have thought.
Have they fixed TRIM under RAID?

would say there is a noticeable difference, i went from a revo drive back to just 1 ssd then back up to 2 in raid, TRIM isnt supported as of yet waiting on firmware resolution for this but in the meantime they say that set w7 power options to high performance then in advanced set hdd to never power down that way the ssds will stay powered so garbage collection can work it's magic. Any truth not 100% sure
