Hi, I am new to the world of overclocking. I am quite new to this forum and you guys have been a great help for me in overclocking my new pc.

I have the e6300 running at 2.8GHz, Zalman CNPS9500 cooler, Gigabyte DS3 mobo and OCZ DDR2 2x1GB PC2-6400 Gold GX XTC Dual Channel Kit
(part number: OCZ2G8002GK) with 5-5-5-12 timings.

Does anyone have any experience with the ram kit I have? (I noticed most poeple here use g.skill or corsair) At the BIOS I am running at 400FSB 7x multiplier and my ram frequency is at 800MHz. Is this safe or can I go further? I also want to go 3GHz or more, how should I adjust my voltage?

And lastly, I installed speedfan to check temps and fanspeed but its giving me none-sense reading of my fan speed. (fan1: 6250rpm fan2:19286rpm) Does anybody know how to fix this?

Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated!

Absolute junk with the DS3, there is a Rev2 out, which MAY work better, but i couldnt get the Rev1 stable at 300 nevermind 400 on my DS3 :/ ... not one good report of this ram with the DS3 on XS :p

i see.. no wonder this ram is never mentioned here. i bought it for £135 from the usa and i guess the price is good, i am running my e6300 at 3.0 now and sp2004 stress test is still ok, no failures yet. i might upgrade to the gskill ones this xmas =) thanks for the info
