I've had 2x1g stick running in my asus commando running happily with a fsb of 575mhz (575x2=1150) or at 460mhz and using the memory divder to give speed of 1150mhz with no problems with 55515 timings. I have even been able to bench with a fsb of 600mhz giving 1200mhz:cool:SWEET!

I have added another 2x1g sticks and now I can not run at these speeds with 2.3v feeding the sticks and [email protected] in bios and 1.45v at desktop. I can only run stable with no BSOD with memory speed at 1000mhz@55515.

Do you reckon it the limitations of the mobo using 4 sticks or do I need to apply more voltage to the ram (sticks rated 1.8-2.35v but don't really want to risk over volting and screwing my nice micron chips) or apply some more to the NB. How much voltage can you safetly feed the NB on air? I thought it was about 1.6v.

Getting 4 sticks running ok, can need a bit more work than just raising voltages.

I am not familiar with the Commando, so i need to ask a few questions.
1:what divider does Cpuz say you are using.
2:do you have the ability to change Performance level on your ram.
3:do you also have the ability to then "Pull" the ram performance level back, with "read phase adjust" or something similar.

I proberly would have helped myself by using the correct timings after checking online:o

i965 Chipset: CAS 5, TRDC 5, TRP 5, TRAS 18, TWR 6, TRRC 42, TRRD 11, TRTR 11, TRTP 11, TWTP 11

and are now getting system orthos stable at 500fsb which cpuz reads as a divder of 1:1. Gonig to try a fsb of 460mhz which using the 4:5 divider to give me a ram speed of 1150mhz.

Kitfit1 don't have anything like "read phase adjust" in my bios only can adjust the above settings, disable/enable (disabled) the static read control and adjust the ddr2 channel a and b and controller ref voltage -30mv to +30mv which I leave on auto.

Thanks for the input chaps will let you knw how I get on.

I could not get a stable setup using a fsb 460 and divider of 4:5 to give the ram a speed of 1150mhz but thet are running fine so far with a fsb of 600 giving a divider of 1:1 and with a bonus of only drawing 1.38v on the VC of my E8500 givng a OC 600x7=4.4g but still some more benching before saying it's stable though.

After more testing was getting BSOD ram errors will all the timings loosened off to 666 18 6 42 11 11 11 11 and the Proberly would need Water cooling for the NB i reckon, shame as the VC was a lot lower at this fsb than at 500.

Anyone got any other suggestions to see if I can get all 4 sticks to run at 1150mhz or should I count myself fortunate for being able to run at 1000mhz.
