I'm just asking this now because of another thread I made.

inside cpu-z for some reason these 2 chips are showing a speed of around 560MHz.

This obviously isn't normal. Why would this be. would I have to change the timings or the voltage?

there 1033mhz modules that can overclock to 1600mhz, so yeah you need to set them up manually, if its i5 system your running only way to do it is overclock the cpu base clock in the bios to 160, you could drop your multi down on the cpu to copensate

You need to manually adjust like you mention, I needed to this to my i7 setup which uses 1600mhz memory.

hmm dang

never touched the ram settings myself before. isn't that on the main advanced setting page for dram?

I mean the system seems fine over than my 30 minutes overclock at 3.8GHz before it crashes.

do you think it'll be fine now?

saying that I to remember my paging file is about 5gb so hopefully the memory should open up from that bottleneck. What else do you think I'll see improved, because other than the start up time I can't see how this 1000MHz of so could improve anything lol

what should my timings be?

the website states CL 7-7-7-24 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS) but bios is saying it's 7-7-7-16-4-27-8-4

should I just leave it as it is?
