OCZ Solid Series Micro USB port Qn.

Hello Peeps

Can the micro USB port be used for anything other than updating the firmware, it would make an ideal USB drive for external use, or will i have to get a USB / SATA caddy type thing for it.. ??

Yeah. I couldn't find anything about it online, but when connected to my computer it behaved exactly the same as a usb hard drive. I even put a copy of ubuntu on it, far quicker than running from usb stick despite the usb bandwidth limit.

In the end I got a caddy for it to protect it. Which was crap, the usb socket sheared off. I should get around to reattaching that really.

Expensive way to carry data around when 32gb flash sticks are cheap though.
