The OCZ vertex 3 has had a 60GB Make over with stock landing the begining of next month.

The Vertex 3 uses high quality Synchronous rather than the slightly cheaper Asynchronous NAND resulting in a faster, more reliable drive!

It comes in at just over £2 per GB but the performance boost over the previous gen Vertex 2E gives it the edge and the title of the Worlds FASTEST 60GB consumer SSD.

Order now to recieve at the begining of July :)

OCZ Vertex 3 60GB 2.5" SATA-3 Solid State Hard Drive (VTX3-25SAT3-60G) @ £128.99 inc VAT

So much for the "not going to happen" in the original vertex 3 thread :P

I'ts still protty expensive over £2/gb but for the speeds you get i guess it's acceptable :D

It will be interesting to see how fast these are compared to the 120GB and 240GB models. If they use 25nm NAND then they may only have 1 NAND die per channel, which significantly affects the speed.

Yeah, the 64 GB version of the Crucial M4 is a lot slower in write speeds compared to its larger brothers. I expect the 60 GB Vertex 3 will also suffer but what we don't know is by how much!

I'm personally not too bothered about write speeds on a SSD, the read speeds are where it's at which is why I went for Crucial M4 over the OCZ Agility 3 as it holds its Read speeds better.
