Other drivers roughing up Max a little... The guy dishes it out with impunity and now its coming home. 10 sec penalty for a deliberate move is a joke; if that was Hamilton there would have been a meltdown.

I enjoyed the race, will be sad to see Barcelona swapped out for yet another street circuit. The only redeeming feature is that a race remains in Spain.

The issue is that the only reason he can be aggressive is because everyone else compensates for him. Hes that **** driver on the roads that thinks he the dogs ******** because hes never had a crash. Nah mate, you've never had a crash because everyone sees you coming and thinks "what a *****, hes going to do something stupid and I don't want to crash" so they compensate for you. If anyone else drove like Max who was near the front of the championship there would be utter carnage.

Guys an excellent driver but he drives like a complete ****. Its not aggressive, its dangerous.
Disagree with you..

Watched the highlights. I respect Max and his aggressive style of driving. I'm old enough to have watched most of the greats, I genuinely believe he's one of the greatest drivers ever. However, whether you're a fan of him or not, that was very stupid and ended up costing his unnecessarily, regardless of whether he thinks the WC is probably lost (which in reality it almost certainly is).

It's also disrespectful towards the hundreds of people working overtime hours in the RBR factory to make the cars. Also thought it was very poor from CH to come out during Monaco and say that RBR are focussed on the drivers WC, as I would be willing to bet a large amount of money that all the staff there don't feel that way and want to be focused on both.

The WDC is wide open.

Currently its still polite between the McLaren duo. If Piastri and Norris are still close in the last third of the season, close enough it would be unfair for team orders to come into play; it could get spicy. Piastri seems at this stage to have the mental resilience, but its still early days. Norris is by no ways beaten as per last week. Winning Monaco was a huge boost (and rightly so).

Irrespective I still think Verstappen will be in the hunt and I hope Russell too.

I really don't see how Max has a shot if the McLarens finish 1 and 2 for most of the races.

He's already 49 points off the top spot, and that grows every time there is a McLaren 1, 2 (which lets face it, there will be a lot of..)

Stranger things have happened I guess, but with development of these cars/regs reaching their peak, I'd be surprised if Red Bull can make the car much faster at this stage.

Hadjar has taken more points in the last two races than Red Bull.

Unless there's an unlikely change in form, this is already in the bag for McLaren. The question is which driver can make it happen.

I get it Jono8, and todays performance from Verstappen almost shows he is throwing in the towel. Mine is an outsiders view, I just cant help feel its too early to write off Verstappen and RB.

nonsense, Nico going overboard with that opinion. There have been far worse incidents that have been penalised equally or less over the years.

Deliberately driving into another driver is pretty much as bad as it gets. Perhaps you could remind me of some of these far worse incidents over the years ? The amount of times drivers have deliberately hit another car in retaliation the way Max did are few and far between.

Vettel on Hamilton at Baku several years back but that wasn't at racing speed. Granted this wasn't Senna taking out Prost at T1 levels of bad but there are not many examples of what happened today.

In most series, you would be black flagged for it. Rosberg was on point with what he said, I see nothing overboard about it.

I know a couple of guys who work at RB. Their yearly bonuses are tied to the WCC finishing position. To say they were not happy with Horner saying they only care about the WDC now has not gone down well at the factory.
