Temps would generaly be the reason it throttles back but I can see that your temps were fine. The power usage will only pull what is needed. I can set 300% on my cards but that does not mean it will use 300% more power. You need to monitor the GPU usage and not the power. If this is dropping down, something isn't correct and this is normaly sorted with different drivers.

Ok thanks,

My gpu usage always stays on 100% :)

I been chatting to a guy called CrazyNutz who is working on a new bios editor which might be able to stop it throttling :)

I'll let you know how it goes and post up some benchmarks when I get my new rig.

Nice and look forward to seeing a BIOS editor. I am familiar with nibitor but sadly it isn't usable for a 6XX series card yet or wasn't the last time I looked.

Seems my Accelero has enabled me to clock up to 1275 with complete cool stability.

I even managed a run at 1300 but i don't quite have enough available voltage to make it long term stable. So close to tiggering OCP i can't really add more voltage to the core. Surprisingly the temps didn't exceed 59c on the core.

i7 @5ghz will go further but don't want to go over 1.425 on the volts.

Oops, i just realised i had an FPS cap of 58 on. :D :D

I'll re-run the tests. I thought it was a bit strange how i could clock the core up to 1300. :o

Ignore me, 3DMark disabled the afterburner overlay and the fps cap. Results are valid.

This is the last time ill quote myself as well.

You heard it here first ^^.

very Impressive :)

What would a rig like that cost?

Mine must be around £1000 as is fairly basic in comparison. :)

a lot!!! LOL!! Never really done the maths. Cooling alone is around 2.5K. Then Asus Rampage IV Extreme, 16GB Ripjawz, Corsair SSD, 3 x 7970 Lightening, 2 x Antec 1200 watt PSU.

Yep a lot. Probably 5k all in.
