**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

I call for a removal of all your scores, ever.

Why? 1337 h4x

Merry new 2013 nonetheless :)

Scores all updated and sorry for my slackness (beer got the better of me :))

Nice to see you back gregster

Happy new year

The thing I am finding a bit strange about 3dmark11 at the moment is what my HD 7970s are scoring. Its about what I expected but I also gave them a run out on the Heaven 3 thread with slightly lower clocks and got the highest score for a pair of 7970s. Maybe its because no one has run it lately with the latest drivers. Anyway I posted a pic over there.

Cheers and Happy New Year to you Sir :)

It could be that Heaven is quicker on the newer drivers but the one thing I noticed is it likes the memory being overclocked. Maybe that is why?

I must push the memory a bit more then :D

Theres plenty left on the memory but not much on the GPUs.

You might not get that much more from the memory, at 1850mhz you're already in correction territory, though it depends on the card, jump straight in at 1950mhz and see if the scores get worse ;)

Happy New Year everyone :)
Thanks for the heads up on the Ripjaws X 8 Pack, when I get back to my rig I'll have a go at overclocking it a bit to see how it affects my Physics score. I'll also see if I can overclock further on the 7950 after reapplying TIM with MX-4.

I just tried it and I think your right

ASUS GPU Tweak to use is also an absolute pile of animal waste. But at least Rossi warned about that.

With my Lightning I hit correction at around 1920mhz, running at 2ghz turned any bench into a slide show :p

Nice thread you have here. :)

Single 7970

3DMark Score P12108

Graphics Score 12612
Physics Score 11527
Combined Score 9896

Motherboard doesn't support lucid MVP but here's a GPU-Z link just in case.

Sorry about the funny CPU clock, trying not to put too much voltage through it. :(

Thanks and welcome to the thread with a nice clocking 7970 :)

Yeah, those were early 12.11s.
I have next to no play in my bclk, 103 and that's it so i leave at 100 and up multi.

Didn't 8Pack once say 134 bclk is the sweet spot for multi graphics? Or was that for Vantage?

When you get your settings right, you'll give me a good thrashing :D

X79 single card use as a high a BLK as possible. Ideally around 131 on 125 strap or 105 on 100 strap. I managed 135.2 on my recent Vantage world record run with single GTX680 but such speeds are rare and demand a great CPU, Board and RAM.

For multicard 3D mark 11 I have found around 104 is the best. Even 4 cards can run at 104. For multicard 11 around 130.7 is the what I have found to be optimal.

Hope this helps!!!

Remember if you clock the bus though your memory gets clocked too soo you will need to adjust settings accordingly.

Nice score, anymore left in the tank ? :)

Thanks for the card as you can see its going well.

I think I can get a bit more, I got close a few times earlier doing what 8 Pack was explaining in the post above but it can make the PC a bit unstable. In one run I was 1 second away from finishing the combined test and it crashed.

I also got the PC to boot into windows with the memory over 2500mhz @9-11-11-1T 96 and do a run on Cinebench no problem, its just a case of experimenting with the bclk and memory to see what works best.

If anyone wants memory that has the looks and can do the business the Corsair Dominator Platinum is great.

Let me know how you get on with the memory.
I can run 7300MHz bench stable fine. But have to run 7000MHz for games otherwise it crashes after about an hour.
Took me ages to pin it down to the memory.

It seems to vary from card to card

The first one will do about 7400mhz but needs extra volts (also the worst GPU o/cer)
The second will do around 7500mhz
The third will do 7600mhz possibly a bit more, needs more testing (also the best GPU o/cer)

The above are from running 3dmark11

Using GPU Tweak is around 1.724v about the most volts you can put through the memory.
