Been trying to get past p8000 points but dont think its going to get there apart from gpu score but going to keep trying :(

Tried that mate, any lower and it just crashes or driver stops responding. gpu seems about the same as yours as it tops out at 1250 with a lower ram speed.

Gregster i know you base it on the gpu score but would be nice to improve my p score :) whats holding me back from say wazzas score is it the lack of hyperthreading therefore me getting a lower physics score ? i'm going to try later with the cpu @ 4.9 but i dont think i'll see any improvement as i've ran it at 4.8 before and the scores were pretty much the same.

Anyhow i'll keep on seeing how far i can get with different ram settings and maybe try upping the blk slightly to see if i can get that p score a bit higher
 
HT does make a difference and I am sure you can make 8K. No need to go for big IMO, try 4.6 on your CPU with enough VCORE to maintain it. Make sure you have your window open (freezing) and go for it :)
 
you need a multithreaded cpu,my physics score is over 11k (2600k cpu)and over 12k on my ivy bridge 3770k for the same clock

ram speed is 2133mhz and that helps also

what make/model 7850 you using danny?
 
Hi wazza i'll have a play with ram only running at 1600 at the minute and not had much luck running it any faster.

The card is an xfx core edition, i just hope it doesnt break and needs an rma:eek: the only reason i bought the xfx was because it was a sunday and the only 7850 the place near me had in stock.The cards been fine apart from a couple of weeks ago when i started playing hitman absolution it developed rather noisy coil whine which luckily seems to have been cured by doing so many 3d mark runs back to back.
 
It seems a good clocking card but Yh xfx are on the fragile side,I'm running Samsung green memory,Idk how well standard 1600mhz kits overclock,
 
Cheers guys , just had a go changing speed = wont even boot , different timings = really unstable so i'll just have to stay as i am .Think its the motherboard holding me back as it states 3.Support for DDR3 2800(OC)/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules , but for a budget board i can't really complain
 
its not your board,its your memory,if its standard 1600mhz they wont overclock verywell if at all

im running samsung on an asus z68 and gigabyte z77 just fine
 
13.2 beta for AMD give a great boost again in this Bench and Vantage. These driver boosts are becoming tedious as each time I have to bench to get my ranking back on the bot!!!!
