I have to ask 8 Pack....Why do you have pictures of men half naked on your desktop background? None of my buisness and each to his own, so tell me to get lost if you want

7950's. No point going from 256 bit to 256 bit (7870's).
Also the added disadvantage of having the same card as humbug was too much to bear .
7870 @ 1350core/1450vram with a 2500K
Could probably bench higher but 12.11 drivers mean that I am restricted to CCC overclocks only (no voltage control and max 1450vram OC).
Nope the fact 7950 crossfire should be faster in triple screen .
Ah I see, I guess the extra memory bandwidth helps with triples screens?
I noticed that we don't have any 7950 CF scores on this thread yet, so it'll be good to get some posted up.
For nornal use I only run @4.0ghz, I only tend to oc up to 5.0ghz for things like this thread 99% of the time the CPU is @4.0ghz
Using a H100 to do the above is a real pain. Going to water even if there is no increase in performance it will be worth it because of the lower temps and possibly less vcore.
Can I go back into the top 50 please - http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/4807952
Mine will hit 62C running Civ 5 @4.0ghz LOL
Sorry about high jacking your thread
Back with 3dmark11 when I get time I want to use my spare graphics card to run on my other PCs to see how it compares graphics score wise across different platforms.
62c running Civ 5 @ 4.0GHz.... are you sure the H100 is mounted correctly?
I get that temperature in BF3 @ 4.5GHz (3930K) using the Phanteks behemoth heatsink. The H100 is a lot better than the Phanteks.
My timings are at stock.
11-12-11-30-2T
I've only had it running for a day, give me a chance to squeeze it more
Happy to have a simple 4.7Ghz without even trying, will be happy with 4.8-4.9
Running Prime95 @4.0ghz I get temps in the low 50s. As gregster said Civ5 is very CPU intensive, probably more so on the huge maps that I use late in the game. The system also has to deal with the GPUs producing as much if not more heat than they do in BF3.
If anyone really wants to stress test their system give Civ5 a go (huge map, late in the game) I have seen it bring some pretty good systems to their knees.
Kuhler920.
I fried my 680 trying to push my graphic score . I should have listened to warnings. Oh well, live and learn I suppose.
You've all been very busy lol. Nice gfx scores by the way chaps @ pgi947, Gregster & 8pack. Also well done on the 7970 stomping that is happening AMD'ers .
Hopefully will be back for a few more benches soon.
7950 Rusty . I hope you're going to be taking advantage of Tri-Def 3D gaming?. I've done a fair bit of reading and it seems a waste to not give it a try if you end up staying with the 7950s. How are you finding them so far or is it too early to tell?.
Gregster which coolant are you using in your rig.
The red works really well with the rest of the system.
Your rig, is, beautiful my precious (Smeagle). Mine is a dusty mess at the moment from leaving my side panel off. I don't dust as often as I should . I'm really impressed with how it looks mate. Great job. As for the temps, well it looks like I'll be getting water then but it will have to wait till January after having to get a new CPU, Motherboard and RAM. I can survive until then with better PCI-E spacing as right now it's a joke . I even have to take the plastic shroud and reactor core thing off to fit it in.
It might be tough for to hide the cables as well as you do, but it's well worth it as that photo is lovely.
Thank you mate, I'll get clocking asap and get my new scores submitted. I hope I get my package early and get most of the day to play with the 3D. Have you manually set convergence in BF3?. If so what values have you ran?. Any information at all before I get started would be appreciated.
25K!, sweet score. Shame about artifacts. Did you up the voltage or was that you at the max you'd go?. You've really scared me too . I've only got a 750Watt PSU. It's gold standard but 1150w erm?.
Slightly off topic but have any GTX 680 owners had a go on the heaven thread lately. I did a run with a single GTX 690 using 306.23 drivers on the 1920*1080 setting and was only 5 points short of 4000.
Someone with 2 * GTX 680s could do a lot better and worry the 7970s over there.
a hair dryer would have been good to dry out any moisture, get it nice n warm
