7870 @ 1350core/1450vram with a 2500K

Could probably bench higher but 12.11 drivers mean that I am restricted to CCC overclocks only (no voltage control and max 1450vram OC).

Very nice score Don't let Humbug see this or he will be chasing you down.

Highest 7870 and very nice OC on that I5.

For nornal use I only run @4.0ghz, I only tend to oc up to 5.0ghz for things like this thread 99% of the time the CPU is @4.0ghz

Using a H100 to do the above is a real pain. Going to water even if there is no increase in performance it will be worth it because of the lower temps and possibly less vcore.

I run mine at 4.6GHZ day to day on 1.34 Vcore. Temps are great 45C idle and 62C max at full load.

Back with 3dmark11 when I get time I want to use my spare graphics card to run on my other PCs to see how it compares graphics score wise across different platforms.

No problems at all. I like to see the talk of different settings/temps/chips/cards/results as I feel it is all relevant and helpfull to others

62c running Civ 5 @ 4.0GHz.... are you sure the H100 is mounted correctly?
I get that temperature in BF3 @ 4.5GHz (3930K) using the Phanteks behemoth heatsink. The H100 is a lot better than the Phanteks.

Civ V is very very CPU demanding, BF3 not so much except in huge displays.

What cooler/type of cooling Stulid?

Running Prime95 @4.0ghz I get temps in the low 50s. As gregster said Civ5 is very CPU intensive, probably more so on the huge maps that I use late in the game. The system also has to deal with the GPUs producing as much if not more heat than they do in BF3.

If anyone really wants to stress test their system give Civ5 a go (huge map, late in the game) I have seen it bring some pretty good systems to their knees.

I am a big fan of Civ V and play the big maps. It realy does push the CPU to the max and I don't care

They look pretty decent and does it keep temps reasonable? I find going from 4.6 (1.34V) to 5.0 (1.495V) quite minimal but have to turn my rad fans up for extended runs to keep it cool enough (72C max)

I fried my 680 trying to push my graphic score . I should have listened to warnings. Oh well, live and learn I suppose.

7950 Rusty . I hope you're going to be taking advantage of Tri-Def 3D gaming?. I've done a fair bit of reading and it seems a waste to not give it a try if you end up staying with the 7950s. How are you finding them so far or is it too early to tell?.

Mate, not good. Happens and RMA will help I finally got my 680s under water and so much easier to smash them up. 8 Pack cheats with his cascade cooling, so he doesn't count ;p

Neither card has gone above 50C under water and the same for the VRMs/Memory. I am well impressed with the EK blocks

I love the switch case but my biggest hate with all cases is the right hand side of the cases room. I have cable tidied all my cables at the back but it still requires a firm grip to hold it in place while I put the thumb screws in.

I look forward to your results when you have the new CPU in and get them under water bro...It is a must and easy

I hit 25K GPU score without any artifacting...I could have gone higher but seeing 1150 watts being pulled at the wall scared the crap outta me

Your rig, is, beautiful my precious (Smeagle). Mine is a dusty mess at the moment from leaving my side panel off. I don't dust as often as I should . I'm really impressed with how it looks mate. Great job. As for the temps, well it looks like I'll be getting water then but it will have to wait till January after having to get a new CPU, Motherboard and RAM. I can survive until then with better PCI-E spacing as right now it's a joke . I even have to take the plastic shroud and reactor core thing off to fit it in.

It might be tough for to hide the cables as well as you do, but it's well worth it as that photo is lovely.

25K!, sweet score. Shame about artifacts. Did you up the voltage or was that you at the max you'd go?. You've really scared me too . I've only got a 750Watt PSU. It's gold standard but 1150w erm?.

Cheers JD. I came from a Asrock board to a RIVF and the spacing on both for PCI-E is great. Cables are not my strong point but no excuse with a switch case

As for 3D, I just enable 3D vision and go. I dont fiddle with anything else. I found 3D in SP to work well but I got owned trying to use 3D in MP. Personaly I love it and it did get me back to gaming as I was so bored of any game tbh.

I blew up my first 1050W PSU by getting some Dye into it when the bridge for the lower card leaked. I realised dye had gone in so took the psu out and wrapped it in a towell in the airing cupboard for a couple of days. I should have left it a week but my impatience got the better of me and tried it with juust a fan connect outside the case and smoke followed by a pop...Arghhhhhh £170 down the swanny. I was running on my 750 Bronze with no problems at all in SLI. I was showing 800 at times from the wall with a small overclock on the cards, so I just ran them at stock and left the CPU at 4.6. You should be fine with the Gold rating on yours.

Slightly off topic but have any GTX 680 owners had a go on the heaven thread lately. I did a run with a single GTX 690 using 306.23 drivers on the 1920*1080 setting and was only 5 points short of 4000.

Someone with 2 * GTX 680s could do a lot better and worry the 7970s over there.

I tried it and hate it. It is such a long bench, I get to 25/26 with a flying score and crash out. A nightmare
