Joking aside, those are some very nice frame rates. Wish I had your PC

I ran that benchmark but it just closes at the end with no hint at where to find the results?![]()
I'm still confused - these benches are impressing me - but what should make me go 6870 instead of a 470 for 15 quid more (excluding power and heat which don't bother me at all)
keep them coming! Great stuff 6870 at £170 is a steal!
I think you just pulled that price out of thin air. The cheapest it's been, that I know of, since it's release last Friday was £176.45 for a Sapphire version and that was a special pre-order price.keep them coming! Great stuff 6870 at £170 is a steal!
Ok here we go..
and finally as above but with gpu at 1000 and mem at 1200

The last run needed the fan set manually as the auto profile didn't ramp it up fast enough to prevent it glitching otherwise.

Currently the cheapest I can find delivered is £179.98, but this is a "VTX3D" version, whatever that is.
On par with my 5850 overclocked to 950/1200 don't know why but i was expecting more from the 6870

Guess the 68** overclock scaling is far worse than the 58** cards.
Your running 10.10 drivers which i think give you more FPS.
He's running 10.10A.
Sometimes you really need to look at the info before you speak. The 6870 with 100 core added on which is around 11 percent is giving around an 11 percent increase in performance. This is pretty much perfect scaling. The 5850 with 950 core is somehwere around 30% of an overclock so off course its going to catch up.

5850 has 1440
6870 has 1120
