It's probably cause I cannot get the 7990 above 1115 on the core clock and 1700 on the memory.

I'm getting good score don't get me wrong I just hoped to be higher on various overclocking leaderboards, for a dual GPU card I'm hovering around 25-30 on leaderboards haha!

What's your Gpu usage?

Run GPU-Z in the background or use an overlay.

OK I have just ran furmark in the background and kept an eye on both GPU loads for 5 mins, the first GPU is hitting 99% and the second 98% - 99%.

Upon running unigine valley windowed and keeping an eye on the GPU loads it appears my first GPU hits 97% - 99% but the second gpu is at 0%...

Whats going on?

Crossfire mode only works in full screen mode, not windowed. What you should do is ask a fellow 7990 owner to copy your clocks and settings and run Unigine Valley again and compare scores.

Why don't you both give the Heaven 4 bench a go, it is very good for two GPU scaling and usage.

Settings are

Quality - Ultra
Tessellation - Extreme
Anti-Aliasing - x8
Resolution - 1920 x 1080 (fullscreen)

Running 1150/1650 @ 1210 i got 1820 in Heaven so does not look like VRAM gives any boost at all
1150/1600 = 1825

Also using 13.8B2 with framepacing on, and my temps are 50 during full load.

However I did see an occasional small flash on the screen during this bench which suggests a slight issue with the overclock

So It seems my card isn't stable on your clock lerun, Also there isn't a huge difference from stock settings.

Is your card under water lerun as 50c during full load makes my card weep, I am hitting 85c - 90c

Yes 1150/1650 on 1210mV
Tried Valley on it and got 3730

Card is under water with a full cover block also cooling VRAM on one side.

Not a big difference from stock, as you observe...I tried to push 1200 on core but got hard lockup even at 1240mV.

Are you also on 13.8B2?

Im running on an older Quad Core CPU (Q9650 @ 4.08Ghz)

Yeah I'm on 13.8 with framepacing on.

Just ran a couple of more tests with a slightly different clock.

Volts - 1225mV
Core - 1120MHz
Memory - 1700MHz

Heaven - 1850 at 86c
Valley - 3754 at 85c

It appears I am not going to get above 1120MHz on the core sadly, I have not tried to go above 1700MHz on the memory yet but I will at some point.

Overall I am a little disappointed at the core clocking of the 7990, I was hoping to at least get to 1200MHz

I wouldn't be disappointed with that, many 7970's won't even hit 1200 unless you send 1.25v+ through them. With it being a dual and hot card I'd say 1120 is fine.

Might make 1180 but I'll hold off for now.

This benching stuff is one thing, but its real game performance Im after
