** Official Antec Kuhler Owners' Thread **

Installed!

Kuhler is plugged into Power_fan (Or something like that) and the two Vipers are on a splitter which is powered by molex from PSU and connected them to mobo via the CPU Fan header.

I've not noticed a huge difference yet but they are quiet!
I suppose I need to sort out airflow in this case.. I have 3 intakes at the front, the Kuhler radiator with Vipers intaking from the back and the large Fractal fan outtaking via top (but this seems like a rather pointless fan).

I tried the Vipers and radiator blowing out of the back and temps rose a few C's so i'm confused if its okay having so many intakes and one outtake.

Suppose I may have to make a thread on airflow.

We posted a blog about this very topic:

Hey David, you know the 180mm top exhaust fan on the fractal xl? can you make it intake?

Im thinking about have the antec kuhler push/pull setup intake and the top 180mm intake, for the exhaust, id try the front 3 fans on the fractal XL. Think that might be a good experiment?

EDIT: But there also the problem that only the default intake fans have dust filters =/

Also, what temps are you getting David with the kuhler on the i5-2500k in a fractal xl? idle, load temps .etc at stock or overclocked?

I'm OC'ed @4.5ghz and currently running Prime65. heres a current shot which should answer your questions.

The lows are idle as I left the system for a bit before Prime so it settled.

This is with roof fan outtake, 2 fractal 140mm at front intaking, one is for bottom chamber and HDDs and other is above that. Then i've got a 120mm Xilence red wing intaking in the 5.2 inch bays under my optical drive.

Rad is intaking with the two Vipers.

Will possibly try out the other ideas and read the Antec blog!

Another reply...
I thought the same idea as you but i'm not sure the front fans would work well as exhausts due to the clearance (However i'm new to cooling and airflow so who knows).

Theres always the option of putting a fan in the moduvent which i've currently done with the spare Antec fan from the Kuhler, exhausting, but on the fan controller so its not too loud.. but i've no idea if an exhaust there is useful, its not pushing warm air if I put my hand near it, seems cool.

Bump as I have a question for the owners of these.

Would you say the tubes that connect the rad to the block/pump are...

a) More
b) The same
c) Less

...flexible than the tubes used on the Corsair H5O/H6O/H7O?

Thanks.

is any site going to do a test on temps when comparing the fan as intake or outake when gaming?

prime is all well and good but there's no heat rising from the gpu

this is where the difference will be made
