I restarted (restalled) made the cfg file read only to start. Seems so far to be a bit smoother.
Cool! Provided you've got the driver selected (of-course). An excellent way to see the countryside too! As long as there's not too much in the way (e.g. other vehicles) this works really well. I'm not sure if I like the driver turning his head while driving thoughThanks.
A quick one I made last night:

Fansadox, would you mind posting your recording settings/software and render settings? I 've recorded this one using Fraps at half res (1680x1050/2) and 29,7 FPS, then rendered to a .mov using Adobe Premiere and these settings, but I think the colors got a bit washed out.
The 8800GT cannot handle everything on very high... I 'm looking for an upgrade by the end of the summer myself.

I know you get a lot of these questions, i searched this thread and cant find if an E6600 and ATI 3870 will run this? And at roughly what settings?
Thanks

Have you played a BIS game before? If not, the Steam release may be a surprise to youthis game will be epic fun once it's patched properly (probably for the steam release)...
how do you get to the sniper? I kept on timing out before i got anywhere near him (another unit did the job) so jacked a car, everyone piled in drove past the bdrm at the speed of sound and still arived two seconds after 'the other unit did the job'. annoying.
8GB RAM issues causing low fps
A friend and I have near identical machines apart from I have double the RAM at 8GB. Both ordered and installed new ATI HD 4890 cards and set Arma graphic options to the same. To cut a long story short he got 60fps constantly, I was getting 10-20 fps! If opened in 1680x1050 then all I got was black blocks everywhere.
This appears to be an issue mainly with ATI cards with 8GB. To get this working I had to add the -winxp line fix to the target shortcut although I understand this does not work with all machines. Seems crazy cutting your RAM in half so another option is to limit the amount of your RAM via msconfig to a higer number.
Not sure if this has been covered already - apologies if so. Since then it's been amazing![]()
