*****Official BBQ Thread - Suns out, Buns out!*****

Very happy with my ProQ Frontier even if I don't get it used as often as it should! Roughly 3kgs of aussie heat beads keeps it going for ~12 hours at 225-250F and it can cook a lot of meat at once :)

Now that you mention it I have some brisket I brined for 2 days sitting in the fridge now.

Sadly wind has put an end to my smoking attempt and it will be slow cooked in the oven instead!

I'd actually go and use my garden and BBQ if it wasn't filled with utter trash that my mum has dumped everywhere. Not actual rubbish mind but gardening stuff - compost and the like. Nowhere to sit and enjoy the sun! :(

Grab a charcoal chimney. Will change your life!

Make sure the vents are open if you have the lid down otherwise you'll choke out the fire :)

I'll let someone else post unless I can get to a proper PC before then as typing on my phone sucks :p

Was gonna get the BBQ out this weekend but plans have changed!

Currently rocking some 40mph winds which makes lighting a touch tricky!

Got started far too late this morning but this was the starting setup!

Pork finally went on at ~170F, a little cooler than I wanted but I was bored of waiting!

Finally reached proper smoking temps!

How's your Sunday going?

(Disclaimer: I know the skin is still on the pork but this shoulder was super scrappy so decided to leave it on to save my sanity!)

Good to see!

My Pro Q is running a little hot (knocking on the door of 280F) even with 1 of the 3 bottom vents completely closed! That said the pork is sitting at 162F and steadily rising. Stall imminent no doubt! :p
