Do we know officially why it got made to go round once more? If it was for the back markers not quite being in place that's particularly annoying as obviously we don't care.

After allowing back markers to pass, the rules state the SC comes in at the end of the following lap. The message to back markers was given at the very start of lap 51, so the SC ends at the end of lap 52.

Wrong. Gave Barcelona a 6. I didn’t think it was anything close to the 10s it received.
Pretty sure the only race I ever give a 1 to is Monaco, because it’s consistently awful racing.
I don’t care if Hamilton wins or loses, sorry about that… I just want to see action on track.

Doesnt matter it was clear on his steering wheel which is what you go by as I said before no other drivers had the issue.

He only had to do a slight lift.

What if he had no time to react between it flashing on and him leaving the mini sector? Only Hamilton was in that position on the track. What Max did was irrelevant as he wasn't right alongside Lewis, so I don't know why people keep bringing it up

It was a great track. In various incarnations.

In this one, where they neutered it to placate the two-wheel crowd who thought that Bridge was a little too dangerous for their delicate little sensibilities, it's lost the things that made it truly great.

And they spent a fortune building the vanity project of the wing, the design of which gave no consideration to paying spectators.
I suggest anyone who has been to silverstone has a trip to spa to see a race track set up for spectators.

I think Silverstone is a fantastic track. This grand Prix felt closer to Melbourne though with the artificial back and forth. It did feel like Battery 1 rather than Formula 1 again.

Yes because the Safety Car period regulation, Article B5. 13.5 states that one lap must be completed following the unlapping procedure,

What I find most perplexing is why Lewis was nearly half a second off Charles through the first stint? How did the performance between the two change so much between the sprint and the race?

The jump start rule is to stop someone gaining advantage which he clearly didn’t, if you look at races from the eighties they sometimes move a couple of yards.

Just watching the Hamilton yellow flag infringement with Ant on Sky.

He was past the broken Hulkenberg car when the yellow lights came on the steering wheel. No flags or boards were yellow. Only green way in the distance.

Agree that the track limits penalty rule needs to be looked at, but when you start defining it, it is actually more complex to write a rule for that than you think without allowing the possibility of drivers exploiting it.

The cars are fueled only for the exact lap count of the entire race.

I suppose if they had some flexibility in the rules then they won't be applied consistently either. In today's case I'd say he should have retired as he could not fully control the car.

As I understand it normally the fuel amount is based upon the predicted consumption. This is what Mclaren got wrong with Lando's car in the sprint, hence why they asked him to fuel save.
