Yea - if you can’t keep the car on the track without the limits, it probably shouldn’t be driven. Fair penalty really.

That's a problem for Aston :D

Increasingly obvious that the Aston has at least as much of a problem with aero and chassis as it does with the engine. The onboards are just dreadful. Newey blaming Honda when he should be looking in the mirror.

Although, to be fair, he was given a pretty impossible task.

Re Kimi, I'd say track limits penalty was fair.

The lasting advantage was he was trying to keep a points position by driving what seemed to be an uncontrollable car at speeds sufficient to remain ahead of cars behind, rather than retiring the car and recording a DNF.

This action meant his speed was too fast for the handling capabilities of the car at that time, meaning he repeatedly left the track.

Fair cop by the stewards in my book.

Hopefully the actual Newey b car will be an improvement.
Gosh that comment winds the clock back for me to the Dennis/Newey era at McLaren and the infamous 'wait for the nurburgring' upgrades and the various b cars.

If you recall nurburgring in the early 2000s was roughly 1/3 - midway through the season and McLaren struggled to get it together until their beast of a 2005 car (and ever dodgy engine).
