Dont forget the other connector over by the top graphics slot... floppy power connector goes there.

Any more problems with it do the 24hr cmos clear (switch mains off, remove cmos battery, put jumper into clear cmos position and leave for 24hrs, then put battery back in, jumper back and fire it up)
Had to do it on mine, its now running perfectly using the latest NON-beta bios.

Sam - What Version of the NON-beta bios you using ? the 22/11 ones. Was thinking to go straight to the 07/12 before anything else with Tmod CD. Seen from your other posts you had good success with the orange slots for memory too? 2 and 4 right?

am interested in the board but you havent got enough posts to enter members market. Think your allowed to email my trust though but not sure. Dont if your not allowed.

Sorry on a side note, where can i find out more about this member's market and how many posts until you can see it?

Hi there, about to purchase an Expert and wondered what BIOS it is shipped with and whether I'll need to flash it to house an AMD 64 4000+. They will both have been bought within the last week. I'm relatively new to pc building and thus I'm just trying to get all the theoretical knowledge under my belt before I get my hands dirty. Any tips or links would be great. I've been reading DFI-Street forums which have proved a great help thus far.

Thanks in advance,

Worth a note of caution if your doing this. Been reading on other sources. If your trying this be very careful. There cases where the above has been not followed correctly and users been removing the battery without using the jumper settings and resulted in possible voltage spike which could fry the board and CPU.

bios should be the 02/11 rel. you wont need to flash it for 4000+ to work. you should def upgrade to the next official bios though when thats released, shouldnt be too long now.

is anyone got really high chipset temps? even when just in windows doing nothing? smartguardian is showing mine at 47c?

i thought this was normal with with these boards?

I have the Chipset Water cooled and im getting temps around 30oC. Im actually glad its water cooled now as i wasnt going to install it.

when new memtest versions are out they are put in the next beta or official bios, dont go flashing your bios after the next official unless you are having problems though, flashing bios can sometimes be risky, it should only be done when you are having problems.

What water block you using on your dfi expert?

You mentioned earlier (page 2) that you were going to try a maze 4 did it fit?

Cheers for that, just a one more question.

Is the block held down solely by the sticky pads or did you use the threaded rods springs etc with the pads solely for protection?

I just want to be sure before I take the plunge and buy one. :)
