I have no problem with that, because it's not the same thing at all. You're spotting a bargain, and hoping to make a profit on it. There is always the chance however that you won't make a profit, simply because the price of the player has dropped across the board. What you're talking about is artificially increasing the price of a player through buying up every card available. If you can't see the difference then I simply give up.

you make a good argument from your own point of view but its the same thing in my eyes, trading is trading, whether it be in renewable products or non renewable products.

everyone is entitled to their opinion, thats what makes it a "free world", you should respect mine as i do yours.

would you ever buy champions league final tickets just to sell them on? etc? etc? people hate the people that do that, but in my eyes they are using their brain and money to make more money.

But you're telling us you're going to buy ALL the tickets. And then sell them for 5x the normal price.

And that, sir, makes you a ****

You know what, I can't be bothered arguing with you any more, it's like talking to a wall. If I could find my ignore list you'd be going on it.

Edit: Ah, there it is. Much better.

It's a free market. Get over it. If people want to buy all the players and sell them for a bazillion each, that's their choice and evidently their right. Regardless of whether you like it or not.

It's not the same as cheating, unfortunately, because it's not against the rules. Ethically/morally? Possibly questionable. But that's life. It's like the people who spend the entire match passing around their back line, or who watch every single replay. What can you do?

Because it's not against the rules, it's fair game. The only reason why we deem it as wrong is because a) we have our own made-up rules that say so, or because b) we don't have the ability to do it ourselves.

There's an ignore list? :o

Actually, listening to Sonny's advice normally improves my playstyle tenfold, so I wouldn't dare do that...

What can you do? Not much, except think that they're cocks, and ignore them. Which is what I'm now doing.

Go to your User CP, there's an ignore list in there. It hides posts from anyone you put on it. If someone posts, you get a message like this...

Psycho Sonny
This message is hidden because Psycho Sonny is on your ignore list.

Silence is golden and all that :D

what do you guys think of people who buy cards for a low price - not to use them but to just sell them on at a higher rate? is this not the same thing? im sure a lot of you guys do that.

I do that and exactly. You spot a bargin and then sell it on at the STANDARD price to what people normally pay for it. Its not ruining the market for anyone else!!

lol ignore lists, i wonder how many will start ignoring asda due to price fixing?

none i bet, even though asda will have a greater affect on their lives than me price fixing a player in a virtual market.

explain standard price? and how do you know the standard price hasn't been inflated?

As its the same as it always has been. for example i'll use Walcott. His price used to be 10k (ever since I playe this year) so if i seen him floating about less than that I would buy him. His price has now dropped so you would be lucky to get 6k for him but if I seen him less than 4k its a bargin in my eyes and little profit to be made

I do that too. Although lately I have.

Been given Drogba for Adebayor

Sold Ramos for over 22k

Sold Fabiano for 22k

Its a laugh every time some pleb adds to the list. That person must have seen something special in my Adebayor for instance.

You keep saying asda but dont all the supermarkets have to be in on it?

Asda cant just up their price if no one else does as they wont go to asda and have you not been watching the news the past year?

We have been in a recession with prices inflating and people have been complaining about it. So due to this I bet a fair few people have "ignored" asda and went to cheaper supermarkets
