*** Official Fifa 16 Thread **

Downloading 16 as we speak. Played the PES 16 demo and while I kinda liked it and the new features let's be honest everyone plays FIFA.

£28 for the game with 15 FUT packs isn't bad and will last me till next October :)
 
Right - I can see this having a short shelf life.

too many games where I'm over 60/65% possession, hitting the woodwork 2 or 3 times a game, and losing 1-0 almost every time to their only shot/effort on goal.

Seems to happen time and time again for me - rinse and repeat

Never EVER in the last 4/5 years of FIFA have I had a record as bad as this year, 14-8-26!!!

It's almost unplayable in terms of passing for me.

Last game has kind of summed it up. Finally managed to play/score and was 3-0 up with 10 mins to go. End up losing 4-3!!!

His goals consisted of an OG from my CB who passed it passed the keeper for no reason, A ridiculous worldy of a FK from him, was about 40 yards out on the sidelines and he hits it goalwards and loops over the keeper into the net. Then the final goal in 92 min was just a slalom from the halfway line beating at least 5 of my players and poking it home.

I'm a 38 year old guy with a wife and kids and I've never EVER had the urge to smash up a controller till I bought this game.

got 150k in coins but zero interest in spending them on players/teams etc as it won't change anything.

LOL at the people who aren't that good and blaming the game. :p Passing takes a while to get used to, but I like that you just can't ping pong it really fast between players.

it's nothing to be with "not being good" - 50 games played in FIFA 16 and probably between 500/600 in FIFA 14/15.

I don't want to be ping ponging but the amount of woodwork hit is totally unrealistic. The speed nerf is a good thing but when simple passes go miles astray it's just wrong

Agreed! They seem to have fixed two the most biggest issues for me this year.. Its much more harder to score from outside the box..
And build up play takes a little more skill.

Am not saying it can't be done. am saying it seem more games result in more tactical build up play now. Far less goals go in from outside the box now.

The balance seems so much better this year.. I can understand some people on the passing it does take a lot getting used to..
Things I have found out is if you aim and the player you controlling is either wrong footed, or facing a strange way to make the pass these tend to go elsewhere.. I find it much better when making the pass look towards that player you want, same with one-twos..

This the first time in Fifa I have felt build up play and thats what football is about. Its what Pes always gets right.

But my point isn't even based on me scoring them. I am also seeing them less going against me.

O'well :D its the best Fifa to date I feel. I hope they keep going down this path and make the game even harder.
 
Downloaded the demo and my controller, PS4 using DS4Windows gets all screwed up in the menu and x is shoot, o is pass. No matter what I try it doesn't work.

It's a pain because I struggle to navigate the menus.
 
Not sure if this is a bug on the pc version but every now and then my settings change so passing power assist is off :( (am now checking before I go into seasons / fut)

I like that the game is harder than 15 and that passing/build up play is needed.

The only thing that seems annoying online is the people fouling/injuring players & not getting punished :( ( also free kick = your whole team in opponents half :( leaving you open for counter attack )
But then it's the opposite in the goal area, lean on someone and they go down so easy & get a penaulty, really seems worse than 15 was.

Not really played FUT much (am on 25-2-2)

I still think the demo had a much better speed & seemed to flow, reminded me a little of PES.

Do the right thing and get an Xbox controller, works straight off the bat and feels better than Playstation :)

Am using ps3 controller with Bluetooth and SCP-PS3PAD Driver works fine buttons etc link up fine.

Nooo, Nooo lol Having used PlayStation since ps1 xbox pads to me feel very strange.. The shape is horrible.

But in saying that they is no right or wrong here :p
