I have noticed that there was 300k playing it through steam, which you can more than double to account for timezones and people who are still downloading etc. So that figure is probably right.

Also, going by this thread I would say that copies sold through Rockstar will dwarf those sold on Steam. Most people in this thread have been buying through dodgy key sites and retail/GMG etc.
 
BTW, for epic trolls, do the following, when someone is getting their hair done, tattoos etc. go into passive mode and park a car right at the entrance of the store so they can't get out, did this to chippy when he was getting some clothes, trololololo :D


Yup creating a lobby is easy enough, it is just this here that makes MP frustrating at times:

- SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SLOW at loading
- for some reason don't always get the invite
- then when the race match is over, I get kicked to another server and have to request another invite
- being spawned MILES away from you guys and then not being able to put a beacon/way point "on you" means I have to constantly load the big map
- also, the highlight player doesn't seem to work for me :confused:

In case anyone missed it, kudos to whoever set up their mechanical RGB keyboard to flash the (main) number keys in red and blue when the police are chasing :D

Got any other peripherals plugged in Dave? I noticed some odd behaviour when my throttle/pedals/stick were still plugged in, was fine once I removed them.

Oddly it kept bringing up the menu at random with them plugged into the PC.
 
Migrated from console and none of my custom cars moved across which was gutting :( Almost re-filled the garage but not with any purchased cars yet, cant even get the EH8 which is free when you have a rockstar social acct :(

Does anyone know how to detonate sticky bombs on the PC? Tried literally everything and only thing that worked was shooting them :D

What's the TS server you guys use? Or do you have a crew at all? Did some heists with randoms but more often than not the second it was all over and we re-entered multiplayer, they killed me and took some monies :(

Edit: Just seen there's an ocuk TS, I'll have to look into that :)
 
Last night I saw I was hitting 100 C on my I7 4790K, maxing all cores and running hot, anyone else seeing excessive heat issues? Its the only game/program to do this.

Having said this it runs beautifully (if I ignore the CPU meltdown). Played it on the 42 inch Sony, it's jaw dropping beautiful, and given the 60 fps cap on the TV so smooth.

Same, not fussed about how it looks but where it is. Needs to be near major roads, a bodyshop etc!

Get on our TS this evening (8pm onwards) and the guys will help you out, there's a couple on just now too tbh. Online was confusing as hell to be tbh, at least doing the intro gave me a vague idea what it was about.

Sounds like your heatsink is coming away from the GPU mate, get new thermal paste on it, it's probably just 4 screws to remove it. 5 minute job.

I have an H55 and a Kraken G10 bracket (modified with a saw lol) on my 980 and it's overclocked to hell. Never goes over 43 degrees in GTA V.

With vsync off I can use ridiculously demanding settings on a single 7950, drops to mid 40s at times but usually much higher and unless in first person mode I'm not noticing much tearing either. Game runs and looks brilliantly, so different from GTA4.
 
Probably been asked already, but it's a big thread....

Worth buying for pc considering I already have if for ps4 on a nice big 50 inch sony TV?

As a bit of background, I had this on xbox 360 and it broke it, so sold it (only played a tiny portion).
Then bought it for ps4. Looks and runs great, but I haven't played it much to be honest, and I'm a pc gamer primarily to be honest.

My Current rig is i7 with 780Ti SLI and a rog swift gsync monitor, so from what I've seen it should run very well.

Worth yet another punt of money? Thoughts?

GPU is icy cold, its the CPU that's the issue. No problems any other games, I was curious if people are seeing big CPU loads an higher than usual temperatures running GTA V?
