***Official GTX 670 thread***

What I've done is ordered the mesh side panel for my 650D, going to fit a BitFenix Spectre PRO 200MM to the side as an exhaust, with it pulling the hot air out that the Windforce is pushing out I'm hoping my temps will be a lot better, should find out later today when the fan arrives.
Does the 200mm fan push much air? The 230mm one in my shinobi xl was pretty poor for airflow. So i swapped it out for 2x 120mm silverstone air penetrators, and removed my unused hdd trays.

Anyone had any problems with a Red Screen? It stays for a few seconds then comes back and then the Nvidia system tray icons says it was caused by a driver issue.

Had it happen to me twice since installing about 3 hours ago...

I replaced the two 200mm fans in my 650D with them and they are fantastic for pushing air, but they both make an annoying noise that can only be described as a faint clicking sound, driving me crazy

For those with side case fans try turning them into exhaust.
I got a 3c drop the other day when it was sunny and warm.
That 3c drop also was registered in the cpu temps, motherboard and hard disc temps.

Im going to leave my side fan as intake but add a fan to the bottom of my case, and use that as exhaust. Im going to take my Antec 200mm fan from my Antec 900, and replace the **** corsair fan.

Are both making a clicking sound. Got a few of theese fans across two builds, never had clicking issues. Just one that arrived dead. Wouldnt start at all but it was promptly replaced.

Ive had the AP's connected to a controller as well, (zalman zm mfc1 plus). No problems, mixture of 120 and 140mm models. Shame my current case cant accept 140mm front fans, if it could id have them installed in a heartbeat. Getting a bit fed up with the poor cooling in the shinobi xl tbh.

Oh my god, mine are on the fan controller. If that works, will try when I get home, be prepared to get loved tenderly!

:o Easy now :p

The only other annoying noise I got from it was it from it sitting too close to the side mesh on the 500R it was in, put a couple of spacers in and all I could hear was nice soothing whooshing air.

THAT FIXED IT

Oh my god, I could kiss you! That really was driving me crazy! PC is so much quieter now!

Any idea why a fan controller would do that?!

Its something to do with the fact very few if any fan controllers can deliver a full 12v, most will cap out at around 11.8v, the slight voltage reduction causing the fan motor to make that noise - This is what I was lead to believe anyhow.

Some folk put the fan clicking down to the PWM nature of fan controllers. Each pulse creates torque and if the frame of the fan isn't perfect it can cause the clicking. You might be lucky and adjust the mounting to eliminate it.
