Doesn't that just add to the evidence that it could quite possibly have been a 650TI originally?
Maybe not with the current clockspeeds though. I suspect,the fact that the GTX670 massively overclocks itself means,a larger cooler would be needed due to the way the core boost function works.
It looks like AMD's accountants will be biting the ends of the pens off while there working out how much their going to have to discount off the 7950 and 7970 to make them more competitive. If/when AMD moves the price of the 7950 there's a chance they will also have to start discounting the 7850 and 7870 if the 7950 goes down to £230 a shove.
Unless AMD makes the current HD7900 cards EOL and relaunches them with higher default clockspeeds. Forget the HD7900 series - look at the HD7850!! That could probably be launched at much higher default clockspeeds.
AMD was too conservative with the clockspeeds for its reference cards and this is why they are in the situation they are ATM.Fail.
