***Official GTX 670 thread***

Does anyone have a link to the latest official 670 drivers then? Never had an nvidia card - always been on the red team before this! I want to be ready for when my gigabyte windforce arrives tomorrow :) Anything else I should do/consider?

Any reason to pick a KFA2 over the OcUK Palit version?... I know its only a few quid, but what is the difference in reality?... I need to save every penny I can, so don't want to spend any more if it can't be justified.

Yes warranty is superior and I rate the quality of KFA2 above Palit. So worth the extra £6 anyday!

Definitely should have ordered during my lunch because I've got to stay in the house to wait for a garden table and chair set to get delivered for my mum tomorrow!!!! :(

I was going to get a 7950 for my new rig as I've always been an ATI/AMD fan however this looks amazing and I might just be tempted! The Gigabyte Windforce looks great and outperforms the Sapphire 7950 OC by a country mile!! for only £35 more as well

I agree. This whole generation from both camps on price/performance is completely underwhelming. I also agree with the wide spread conjecture that the 680gtx was to be a lower ranking card. These 670 should be the new 560ti. The price from both camps is particularly hard to swallow and I refuse to pay it, this coming from a kit junkie, those are the graphics cards I have owned. I sold 2x6950(unlocked) prior to the 79xx release, should have kept them. I am rocking on a gtx 260 216 at the moment and it will do until some sanity returns

cheers

Feel the same, my 5850 will do the job until the prices come right down. To me the 670 is a £250 card at most.

And. You might get run over by a bus tomorrow? Or be diagnosed with something nasty and life threatening?

Live for today.

There might be no tomorrow.

Any found a review that compers 670 vs 570 SLI?

really wanna go back to single card but with more VRAM but cant find anyone that has a comparison.

570's will be more powerful, unless you OC the nuts of the 670 in which case they'll be roughly the same.

(please note, the statement above is based on crude figures)

Yep, he went for the KFA2 OC. See this post for a bit of his order summary...

:)

Thanks :D

I thought he said he didn't like blue PCB's :o

Not really struggling but I like to throw money at my PC... Would it be a worthwhile fps jump I wonder.

I really don't think it's worth it tbh, we're at a point in the generation where most games are console ports that run like silk even on a mid range gpu, I've upgraded from a 570 purely to keep with current gen and ditch a card that had no warranty, I'm not really expecting my games to feel any different tbh.

The average 7970 does not overclock by 30%.

Nope, its 35% ;0)

Looks like the 670 is a solid card, lets see all you buyers post up your game benches and lets see if the review sites got cherry picked cards or not. I am feeling lonely on the Batman bench thread ;O)
