***Official GTX 670 thread***

Man i've got such and upgrade itch right now after seeing the reviews for this card.... upgrade from a 580 would be minimal though.... :/

On my windforce the max power limit is 111%. Seems my max oc is 1276(+100) core, 3260(+256) memory.

So the KFA2 is better? :p

I havnt found the max OCs yet, at stock settings the GPU runs at 1200 Mhz, +100 gives 1316 Mhz and is isnt stable, +85 gives 1300 Mhz and isnt stable, +50 gives 1255 Mhz which is stable.

So my max frequency will probably be around 1270 Mhz too, so much for the extra power power connectors and PCB.

Not tried overclocking the Vram yet.

Actually I'm having very poor luck with the GPU, even +50 isnt bench stable. But my ram is working problem free at +700 / 7400 Mhz

doh I thought I saw .24 on the official website.

Max power limit is 125% ... what does that do?

I wonder why is the difference so big 125 v 111

Also does the boost in nvidia cards stop during gaming or its constant when load?

this is backing up what a lot of reviews are seeing, mid 1200's for the EX OC and windforce, even with all the apparent advantages they have

Okay, so this is my max OC on my windforce:

So that was 1300 GPU clock, with 3402 Mem Clock :D

+30 / +650 was almost stable - 1250 / 7300, but the Vram started artifacting a little.

I'm certain that 1250 / 7200 will be stable, testing it now. I was testing clocks in Kombuster first and there wasnt any 'snow' at 7400 Mhz ram, but I needed to reduce it for benchmarks.

The KFA2 EX OC stock speed is already 1200 Mhz, I think thats the highest stock speed out of all of them? And just +30 gives 1250 Mhz.

Well my reference KFA2 seems to be running nicely, it's inaudible on most games, crysis , metro 2033 etc ramps the fan up a bit but still not lot really any louder than my 570 used to be, just a low hum, my P180 case is pretty quiet anyway, all the 120mm fans are set to minimum.

Binary domain maxed out at around 59c, with the core clocked jumping to 1086Mhz but averaging around 915MHz

Metro 2033 maxed out around 77c, core clock seems to stay around 1086Mhz.

Do these cards not have a minimum core clock in games? in lesser intensive games the core clock seems to go right down to 640MHz at times, I find this confusing.

Thats good to know. Im still currently reading about this gpu boost and its doing my head in lol

Me also, I don't quite get it how it works out the clock, I've noticed in less intensive game it goes quite low but surely it shouldn't do that because then I'm losing fps?

Is there anyway to keep the clock at a minimum? atm I don't feel my card even has a set clock, only a max clock which is strange.

I think the minimun clock is the base clock and the boost frequency is added to the base clock when added when under load

It seems a fairly good indicator of the quality of the chip is how far the gpu will boost itself when at stock. Some will boost +220, others as low as +170. Mine will boost from 980 to 1176 when running heaven i.e. +196.

So you mean even if in the product description it states core boost is xxxx it could infact be more or slightly less?
