Edit: And the RAM price increase, which is base £400 on all models

Would have upgraded my Mini if they stuck a M1 Pro or Max in them but not paying £3k for a 14" with a Max, that's daft money. Obviously not for users who need it, but my previous MacBooks all spent 90% of their life in clamshell mode anyway :D

If you can wait the edu store is usually cheaper than Apple direct (don’t think they are an ocuk competitor right so I can mention them)
The images are from the UK Higher Education Discount Apple site. I'm not sure that price can be beaten unless you're a large enterprise customer.

500 notes is a hell of a jump between 14" models.

Am I correct in saying the only difference between the £2399 versions of the 14" and 16" is the bigger 1TB on the 14"?
Given the 16" is obviously physically bigger, unless you really needed 1TB, surely the vast majority will just go for the base 16" instead of the higher tier 14" no?
