The 8400 seems the star of the show. It's such a same it's not a drop in upgrade for socket 1151 because Intel would be onto a winner.

So pretty meh overall then?

hahahahah linus video is called ryzen killer. these forums lol. basically intel have just stomped on amds ryzen. before these there was a point to buying ryzen now there isnt.read all the reviews.great chips.

8700k... Does it suck. What a clickbait moronic title :/.

Anyway if someone works out a bclk loop hole then we get decent cpus, if not then the price increase on the i5 and i3k is horrible but i7 isn't too bad.

The i5 8400 especially beats out Ryzen at a low price point, in some circumstances atleast.

The i5 8400 is really good, as for the rest of them, '8700K/8600K' well of course they ain't bad but again vs the 8400 and the Ryzen 1600 they are massively over priced.

Just speculation, but I would imagine it performs the same as an i5 7600k, albeit at a much lower price. So basically it would be ~%10 worse perhaps than i7 7700k.

I was curious whether any ipc improvements in coffeelake might make the difference smaller perhaps. I know you lose out on hyperthreading but....
