Official OcUK GOTY Nominations

Its usually done that way I believe. Leave it open to get as many votes as possible and post it around, add it to sigs inorder to get every one voting, even outside the forum section. Then we post up the top 10 and poll them for the top 3 spots. I think 19th works out as pretty much how many days there are left in the year divided by 2(actually on thinkin, it may be the 15th). So that allows for an equal amount of time accumulating the contenders and voting for the overall winner.

Is it possible btw, to hide the poll results until the end? I always find that people in these poll votes tend to either vote for their favourite, or if a game they heavily dislike is winning, they'll vote for the closest contender. So if its possible to hide the current results from people until the end, I can imagine the poll will reflect a much more realistic GOTY.

Thought it was miles better than Fahrenheit. Esp considering fahenrenheits ending and too many quicktime sequences for me.
The plot, style, graphics - multiple endings of Heavy Rain - great game would love if more games are made like this. Where its about the story and your involvement. For me its at the vanguard of how mature adult gaming should be ...its the future....hopefully.

Last time I did it I think we even waited till the middle of January to include xmas games. Ideally we want to give as many people as possible the chance to nominate their games.
 
I've not had much gaming time this year, so only two nominations from me :

Demons Souls
Heavy Rain

I've played a fair bit of Fifa 11, but if I'd only played that and the two games above I wouldn't nominate it - big disappointment.
 
Just checking - these are solely for nominations so if people have mentioned my 3 its not worth putting them down right?

Just seeing people repeating the same games so wondering if they are interpreting this as a poll too?!?

I do believe it will be tallied up. So if 10 games have 30+ votes, and 1 of your favourites only has 29 votes. It wont make it into the final top 10 poll
 
uhh votes are tallied up whichever game has the most votes wins?

or are we voting for the top 10 to get into the poll?

Can you do multiple votes in a poll??

Halo Reach (thought id nominate 1 xbox title and tbh, that's probably the best exclusive 360 game i played)

Would have said Vanquish just on the strength of the demo...

Heavy Rain was a bit of a let down for me :(
 
ooh erm let me see..

1 - Heavy Rain (only as it was a superb story and just what adult gamers needed this year)
2 - Red Dead Redemption (Simply as it was very well scripted I felt)
3 - GT5 (well better late then never I guess, and has the same old GT feel to it, which is no bad thing)

GT5 replaced F1 2010 simply as it has a lot more content and is way more addictive and looks rather good for a five year old game... lol
 
I hasn't been a great year for gaming, as far as I'm concerned. The only game that I could think about offering that title to is Red Dead Redemption.

fahrenheit was wack, atleast heavy rain made sense,

mass 2 goty for me
