*****OFFICIAL OcUK/JW IP35 Pro THREAD*****

hey WJA96 cheers for the reply, Tried the settings you suggested and made no difference, still cant seem to break the 375fsb barrier, maybe its just my chip. In fact to break 366 i have to up the pcie frequency to 110...

The only thing I can suggest is really turn up the CPU voltage. Just in case. I've just bought an early 2140 from Alllec which I hope to pick up tomorrow or Wednesday so I'll give it another go next weekend.

One question though - do you have the 4-pin molex connected at the bottom of the board?

What stable FSBs can this board do with dual cores and quad cores? Will it do ~450+?

I've had my E6750 at 525FSB, stable enough to run SuperPi, and the E8400 will run SuperPi at 495FSB, Prime stable at 475FSB. An ASUS Maximus would probably get an extra 30-35FSB out of it, but that's £100 more...

Yeh I think WJA96 has done some sterling work testing this board, maybe kenofstephen should have a word with his boss to see about giving him a free next gen board :D

No Hope/Bob Hope I reckon. Besides, I don't mind buying an X38. That way if it's no good I can 'suggest' they fix it until they do. I have to say again though how impressed I am with the response of the J&W team. Can you imagine ASUS, Gigabyte or MSI responding like J&W have?

I love the fact they have managed to make a cheep but reliable AND highly overclockable motherboard that most enthusiasts can use, and the bios releases have gone from strength to strength in a very short period of time :) glad i got the board :D

I'm tempted to pick one of these up and drop my SLi board. Is an X38 release imminent or a while off?

Thanks for the previous reply WJA96.

just got one of these today to go with a s/h Q6600 ive just bagged as well. now all i need to do is wade thru this thread to find out whats what then i'm good to go. :D

to WJA96, had not plugged in the 4pin molex, have done now but it seems to ahve made little difference. Still can't boot above around 375 even when i give it silly volts. I get the feeling im missing something but im not sure what. I guess ill just have to have a bit more of a play with it

Am having problems flashing from bios 1.3 to 1.3b , i have tried both the winflash(not recommended i know :( ) and the ms way of doing things and neither have worked, well i xcant get the util for dos to load at all (i dont have a floppy so ive used a pen drive, external and even a cd to try and get it to work, but it just goes straight past the post screen and on with loading vista.

when i try any version of winflash an error keeps appearing that says "Onboard bios is Not Award Bios" which when i checked it with cpu z is correctas this detects a pheonix bios? dont ask me why, but when i go into the bios it says its an award 1? am cluless why it wont let me and i really want 1.3b for *** wolfdale benifits :) cheers in advance :)

Download the Winflash tool from jwele.com and follow ALL the instructions in the BIOS flashing tutorial. The Dual BIOS makes it very much safer flashing from Windows than usual.

I don't think you're supposed to plug in that molex - I think it's for powering the eSATA port.
