Recently, game expos.

They're starting to get ambitious with what they want in the game, it will make for some very long development times if it is just notch and a few goons.

Notch = angst.
 
Notch just seems to spend more time on twitter and playing other games and being social then actually finishing his game.

I don't think there is much at all in vanilla, I think "ops" can still kick ban etc so we can get rid of trouble makers :p. Also I'm guessing this will run in tandem with the current server, until bukkit is updated?

Yeah, it would run in tandem...though I'm kind of thinking that it'll be a lot of work for not much gain. I guess I'll assess the Bukkit situation closer to the time.

Pretty sure that /tp isn't built in. Only very basic stuff for OPs as maxi has mentioned.

I'm not sure that the Bukkit team get that much in the way of previews. Some of their previous updates have suggested that they get extremely short notice whenever there is an upgrade :/

I think it might be a bit earlier this time as bukkit is slightly more established now along with Mojang having an early build for PAX and the HAT team, maybe bukkit got one too?

As for the development time I think it's still going pretty well, Notch doesn't work on it much these days as hes more the face of the company so I bet he has a lot of demand for meetings and such. I bet there are still a good few all nighters carried out over there though ;)

Looks grim to get a release out on 8th. We need more testing, one day is not enough. And we never release on fridays... I'll keep you posted

Oh! Sorry! Didn't do the linktart bit. Username is Critikal123 for minecraft. Alex for Linktart I think! And is minecraft username case-sensitive? if so i might have to change. Sorry about any fuss this might have caused.
