***Official Rift Planes of Telara Thread***

Well I enjoyed the event, I had some fun, kill some bosses, got a server first when I completed the shadeweapon cache quest, had next to no lag, no disconnects, all in all I enjoyed it. For a first major event in an mmo, within weeks of release , I found it acceptable. There are things I would have done differently in hindsight, but its all part of the learning experience, I see they are giving everyone rewards for the event this week, which considering that I didn't have any problems is an unexpected nice bonus :)

Oh well, screw a trial, I bought a copy today. I was holding a copy in my hand and thinking "should I or shouldn't I" when the missus said, "just buy it for heavens sake" - that pushed me over the edge. In response I had to endure 30 minutes of dress shopping in House of Fraser where I said pretty much the same thing to her - we'll see if it was worth it :D

I just finished downloading yesterday and created my account this morning all ready for when I get back from work :D Hoping this might fill the post-Wowquit void a bit. Which server(s) are you lot playing on?

You coming on later? need your awesome dps for DM. :)

Leaving for camping straight after work, but I'll be back Tuesday!

I've got 100~ toughness, so I think I'll give tanking a go, used to do it in WoW but was so much effort compared to DPS :p (pre-Cataclysm anyway) Few more plagues & I'll get some T2 stuff.

Shivermere, Whitefall had a something like 6000-15000 queue on release so we switched :p

I'll get someone to change it.
Oops, I sent my brother Whitefall-ward.

He and I are both experienced MMORPG'ers, back to UO and original EQ through just about every other game since :D gonna have a look at how the game plays and will probably apply to the guild - will my membership help his application? He is not an OCUK-er. He is more likely to raid, I am just looking for the social side of things with the occasional group.

I hate having a new game to play and being stuck at work :(

On the plus side, Easter weekend gives me plenty opportunity to choose a class and apply to the guild once I've settled on a class. Are healers in demand, just like every other MMO?

I've been playing this on steampike for a few days now - have to say it's perhaps the least multiplayer mmo I've seen so far, there's hardly any interaction between people and zero chat in the chat channels. I can't quite understand why, never seen an MMO that was either so void of interaction other than random groups killing people then immediately disbanding.

Game is great, especially for seriously lazy casual gamers like myself, perhaps that's the problem though.

Not the experience I've been getting.
