******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

Humbug and I were chatting about that a couple of days ago, just wanting smoother servers. I still don't get why they don't have scheduled restarts on some of them with announcements 2 hours prior and ever 10mins until reboot. Fresh servers are just far more snappy.

That's what I started doing a few weeks ago, need to use it in master modes though as I never tried it on the new patch. Takes a bit of getting use to though!

Damn Noxia just seen your virpil stuff in the MM mate, if it was in a few months time I'd probably bite your hand off but I've house improvements to do that take priority :)

There is something "it just works" with keyboard and mouse tbh, when I sold my warthog and pedals life just seemed to get a lot simpler when jumping between versions PU/PTU/EPTU regularly. Prior to that I could easily end up spending half an hour every week just reconfiguring whatever version I was playing!

Part of the problem is the dire in-game menus, needing to remap usb device order etc. CIG have never addressed this as well as games like Elite Dangerous did from day one.

I think if I was to do it all again I'd make a floor mounting system and put the sticks on extensions. I built my desk so could potentially just make a lever to slide them under the desk and when I want to play cantilever them out again.

I work from home these days so my desk needs to be comfy, that's why I ditched the warthog. Like you it just got in the way!

That's why I'm hoping.. really hoping to get along with HOSAM, then when I do I could maybe treat myself to a decent stick (using my 10+ year old T16000M I got for Elite Dangerous!)

2.5M wide or so, it's basically a kitchen worktop I got from Ikea and mounted to the wall the full width of the room. They were on sale for £26 discounted lol

Monster mounts do keyboard trays, they are expensive though: https://www.monster.tech/en/product/keyboard-mouse-table-mount/

They do pop up on various online auction sites though occassionally however I'd point out that if you have basic DIY skill you should be able to make something that'll work better for you and possibly even fit in with the stick mounts better! Those stick mounts attach to the desk, get a comfortable distance apart and get a length of good quality wood that size, use the screw mounts on the desk mounts as attachment areas for thew wood - job done.

MM is OK, just need to be very clear when you list about no offers etc. If you decide to sell state no splits, no offers etc.

I had very poor experience on ebay selling my warthog there, I got more money than on MM before fees (not after) but the amount of hassle was insane and the guy then left a negative review because I allegedly blocked him on ebay (you literally cannot do that - I simply didn't reply to him the same day).

Selling online is a 'mare, but if I do I only do MM or direct to long time online mates these days.

Vulcan seems to work for me too now, don't remember them saying it had been sorted but not having black screens now. Need to play a bit more to see how stable it is though.

You'll keep ships but lose money - at least from what I understand, so buy ships you want for the next patch. I grabbed a Vulture as I like chilling on one :)

It'll never be done, it'll just be a case of how they frame it, alpha/beta/release.

This is why complete wipes aren't happening IMHO, this IS the game we are playing, they want that progression locked in to keep us interested as they need to pretend to make significant progress by giving "major updates" which have lots of the promised content missing or "Delayed" then drip fed over the next few months.

Settle in folks, we're already playing Star Citizen, we've just not officially been told :D

Caff aint wrong, plenty of jankiness about SC still and no doubt when they release the latest patch to live it'll have many of the old bugs back in that were reported and fixed years ago.

They need to up their game, although I think they are starting to do that recently as the patches are far more frequent than they ever have been which suggests more focus/resources.
