******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

Empty? It's a multicrew ship, it needs to have some space or it'll be another Redeemer which is great when you're in it on your own but the instant someone else gets in you're crotch to butt trying to get past :D

I like it so far, but need to see the whole thing as the images have all been from very different angles, some good, some not so good.

It's not a game yet it's a game in development which is still in the alpha stage. You get an arena commander pass (dogfighting module), you can see you ship in the hangar but you can't fly it yet, instead you'll be given a different ship to try out - the 300i.

Come back in 18 months if you want play a finished game of some sort as that's included in the package ;)

I wanted a utility vehicle too, starter miner/salvage vessel would have been great. Think I voted for the Terrapin in the end as it simply comes across as being the most different from what we have in the Aurora and Mustang.

Finally made an org movie, well actually this is the second attempt, will no doubt be altered in coming days though :)

If it's the Starfarer it's stats may have changed a fair bit. It does look a bit like generic cockpit number 23432432 though :P I'd say Caterpillar personally

I feel kind of bad about that tbh - sure it will be incredibly easy for me to hop on the underground, but Manchester would have made life easier for more people. :(

I'll go regardless of where it is tbh mate, just that I know people who won't go because it's London and if there's an event on in the city prices go crazy. It's just be our luck that they want to hold it when something big is happening. Fortunately EuroGamer 2015 is in Birmingham so fingers crossed.

Let me (try) and shut down some of the rampant speculation  The sale will include a number of ships that have been offered before. It will not include EVERY ship we've ever offered, but it will be quite a few. Of these ships, any that were originally 'time limited' (such as the M50 or the Retaliator) will be available for a full week (11/21-11/30.) If they were originally 'quantity limited' (such as the Scythe or Idris) the same will be true if they return... so if we were to offer more Scythes, there'd be a limited number of them. Please note that my examples are not promises that these specific ships will return. I will also re-confirm that the Idris-M and the Scythe will not be offered again.

Ships will NOT have LTI, but in honor of the two-year anniversary, any ship sold as part of the sale will have two year insurance instead of six month insurance. Almost all of the ships have been offered before, although there will be one or two new concept sales. The concept sales won't launch on Friday, but you will get a schedule and pricing for them then (as promised, concept sales and pricing will be announced a week out.) We will have several Comm-Links next week showing off a selection of the ships you haven't seen in a while, including some new art and fiction about them. This Friday, we will have a full schedule for the sale, with all the ships listed and the plans for any limited ones specified.

So potentially a limited number ship coming back but which one, phoenix upgrade? Can't obviously be the Scythe/Idris as he's ruled those out but why bring it up unless they're going to bring one of them back. Still think it'll be the the older ones (Retaliator/Gladiator/Caterpillar/Starfarer) and possibly Merchantman.

If we'd seen more images of it we'd probably have a better idea on pricing. I do have a horrid feeling it might come in more expensive than we expect, but it'd have the specs to justify it.

If it comes in at around the same as a connie variant obviously the specs would be completely different.

Yeah that's why I've been saying to folks not to worry about LTI, most people won't play enough for it to matter, or play so much the renewal cost isn't noticeable anyway.

Hey I've made a profit off SC and I've no problem admitting it, grey market has been useful as have all those wealthy backers salivating over LTI.

However when I look back at games I use to subscribe for, well cost mount up and I never got the game I wanted at the end, here there's a chance I will at long last. I can completely see where people are coming from when they're shocked at the funds some are punting into the game though, one which let's face it currently is little more than a tech demo and not even a particularly great one at that in it's present form (but improving rapidly). But I think there's a good many of us who are sick of the same old tired games coming out and finally want one which rips apart a genre and tries something new - even if it may not pan out as we'd hoped.

But hey, I'd rather be throwing money at Chris Roberts and team than anyone else and to be 100% honest for me it's already been worth it, I've made new friends and had an absolute blast, arguably I've had someone else's moneys worth already.

It's not an easy game to justify backing though, which is probably my main critisism, the headline costs are off putting, the pledge store is a disaster and the CCU/upgrade paths are simply insane. Yet over half a million have thrown their wallets at the screen already, that's a health amount of faith.

Ben consistently talks out of his rear tbh. I get the impression he's the last person to get some of the information and isn't included in many of the team meetings with other devs due to his "community" based work.

Wanna hear something scary? I've just realised if I melted all my ships I would have enough store credit to buy a Javelin...******* mental!

I was asked earlier, even if I melted everything and used my 15% discount voucher I couldn't get the "cheap" idris. That actually made me feel good lol
