******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

Latest patch proving quite unstable for me, Sabre/Gladiator/Aurora CL all resulting in a frozen client in VS or Olisar after a random period of time.

Not too bad but frustrating :)
 
Oh god damn it I better get patching.

I've got friends over tonight so won't be on but I have sorted out our gameplay vid from last week so will get it uploaded once the patch is done!

Contains a lot of swearing and me blaming other people for ramming me when in reality it was 50% my own bloody fault :D
 
20 odd.. as in 24Gb! Bloody hell this'll take until about midnight if I'm lucky :D then I have to upload that 12Gb vid to youtube lol

Good news is I should be OK to play tomorrow night though !
 
Tim it might run it but to be honest I wouldn't worry too much about an upgrade until we've a firm date for moving to beta or seeing the single player game (Squadron 42) come out, multiplayer persistent universe is still a looooong way off IMHO :)
 
Alpha still mate, up until Feb 2016 a $45 pledge got you single and multiplayer, now it's split into two games essentially though.

First part of single player is excepted out this year (no guarantee) with multiplayer out next year-ish. However we're already playing several multiplayer elements in a test mini-universe where nothing is persistent, so it's just a colossal mess around area, surprisingly good fun as Humbug will attest lol
 
I could update the thread but doubt the mods would like it, would arguably be best to do it person to person and keep OCUK out of it - we'd need to check first, that's what the members market is for. I wouldn't see harm in it if no profit making is involved e.g. melt value = paypal gift value traded but mods might think differently :)

Happy for folks to do this on the PAGAN forum obviously at their own risk if OCUK one isn't suitable, or indeed anyone elses forum. The star citizen trade subreddit can be quite hit and miss for buyers and almost never at cost which is why I'm not suggesting it !

If you want to buy both single player (SQ42) and multiplayer (Star Citizen) you could go for this one:

I'd then upgrade it to the Aurora LN or an Avenger Stalker.

Alternatively you could melt your gladius (reclaim as store credit) and use the funds to buy this outright with a few dollars left over. You can check if you can melt in the hangar section when logged in: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/account/pledges

You can currently upgrade ships (doesnt' affect the package they are in) as long as you're moving to an equal value ship or one that's more expensive.
 
I agree with Paul although I'd always say - if in doubt back later, there are plenty of free fly weekends so you can check on the game as it goes :)

It is crowd funded so you do have to appreciate that if it's not made, there's no refund, the money is gone. So only pledge if you want to help develop it and can afford to potentially lose that cash, ignore the fluff on offer for backing early.
