Just get a starter pack and if you really want to play with another ship just ask in here, some of us mugs have many ships and we can always let you play with one.

Don't get involved in the CCU stuff, it's a mugs game tbh and there's no need.
 
It's got a learning curve which doesn't help much - do the new player tutorial, I did that a few weeks back. Suggest spawning at Area 18 or Microtech (where the show is).

Doing it in alpha is beyond pathetic to be honest, but hopefully there are permanent bans handed out to those proven to cheat and the bar to entry is never as low as some games which struggle with cheats like Rust.
 
No anti-cheat is perfect, but what supplements it is server side logging, tooling and alerting. They are already developing this but are unlikely to alert anyone to how this works at least until after release. There's no reason to.

I can see SC being one of the most anti-cheater communities though so I'm honestly not stressed about it.

Honestly discoverying this stuff is part of the fun, once you do - it'll be second nature in game.

and you can always refund in the new couple of weeks if you want to wait until it's actually released as a game in 20 years time !
