*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

Since hitting 50, pvp has been my main activity, so I'm gutted ranked war zones have been pushed back. The only other things I was looking forward to in 1.2 was improved textures and custom ui. Think I will unsub for a few months until they sort it out.

Oh well, I have Catherine for the 360 arriving today and Trials Evolution is out next week :)

OMG OMG 1.2

I'm sorta glad rated WZ's have been delayed, they have learned not to release buggy/exploitable software.

Also gives us healers time to get used to the new changes, then roll a Sentinal/Maruader.

Agree, would definately have been nice if there had been more notice that it wasn't going to make this patch but still preferable to launching it bug ridden and having another Ilum disaster.

Yes it is. Just make sure to roll on a busy server like Frostclaw or something (not sure which PvP servers are busy or if theres other PvE servers busier than Frostclaw)

Thread is very quiet after a major patch. I'm guessing no issues with 1.2 then.

Finding my BM Merc very fragile and low damage in pvp, and yes I'm doing more than just spamming tracer - I always have ;) So much so, I think I'm going to have to park her and move on to something else. The damage output previously made up for a lot of shortcomings, and the supposed 10% reduction seems like a hell of a lot more to me. Will wait for the parsed logs, I'm too depressed to make my own after my experiences today - I was starting to enjoy the class again.

Pyro's not worth it, big damage numbers with the dots, but it's too slow to kill and too easily countered (purges). And the healing tree seems to have been royally destroyed with a reported 30% reduction in effectiveness.

Nice. Back to the sorc it is then.

Its not been mentioned in 1.2.

I know that you get item bits that help argument making. Also other skills get lockboxes too.

Yeah, I know it wasn't in the patch notes, which is why it surprised me that every mission (except 1) I send my crew on give me a lockbox containing less credits than it cost to run the mission. This included 2 critical successes.

I'm trying to work out if it's lucky or not that the day I decide to play this for the first time (today) for casual PvE, is the day everyone has been waiting for a new patch... Hopefully it's not too busy ;)

Looking back through the thread, I guess Frostclaw is my best choice, although I do often try RP servers.

Any other recommendations / thoughts before I roll my first character ?
