That Man City are already preparing to offload Adebayor is hilarious to me. We got a hefty transfer fee for him, so I was pleased about that, but what were Man City's scouts thinking if the club's already dissatisfied after 1 season! Even if you have a bottomless pit of money, you gotta spend with more foresight than that surely.

like the difference between sleeping with Yvonne Strahovski and a transvestite hooker.

haha!

I was a football manager sceptic for years, I always thought I'd rather be 'playing' the matches on Pro-evo/FIFA, but FM is way way way better. When I first started playing (think it was 07) it was more addictive than crack...

And Tom as for young RBs better than Rafael, how's about Davide Santon?

ahh good.

i dont like smellback and diouff didnt look to be the next big ting neither.

much prefer hernandez and macheda to get a proper run out and not just the last 2 minutes of a game where we are losing,

Jay Simpson of Arsenal finally being linked to a host of teams, with Leeds United and Hull City leading the pack. Other teams interested are QPR where he spent last season on loan, and Crystal Palace. Good for all parties involved and I'd love to see him at Leeds. He's a great talent but will never play first team football for us and he'd be perfect in the Championship.

We already have Watt on loan for the season at Leeds, so that could be a factor. He seems to be highly rated but I haven't seen much of him.

Kyle Walker? Been very impressed with him in the preseason games, pretty good defensively and likes to run with the ball.

How's Kyle Naughton doing? When he was with us (Sheff Utd) he was by far the better of the 2.

Haven't heard anything about him since he left us. :(

I'd like us to sign Jay Simpson, but if Hull, QPR in for him I expect them to offer more in wages. Only good thing is we have Watt so he may influence the decision possibly. Leeds don't have many pacey players with a bit of flair so Simpson would bring that.

At least the most boring and pointless 'saga' of the summer is over. Anybody with any sense knew it was over as soon as Arsenal released a statement all those weeks ago, the papers are seriously mongy though and the mongy readers needed something to **** out about

Yeah just seen that video on the BBC website of him getting a nice ovation, and the interview of him saying he'll stay. I thought he'd go, but I am delighted I appear to be wrong :D

Interesting to see that there was a second formal offer turned down, it must have been a derisory imorovement upon their first offer, but still it'd be interesting to know how much it was for...
