Is he? Can't remember him ever coming across as anything other than grateful to be in his position.

He came in to a restaurant where me and a few friends where, His bird was really nice and had a bit of a laugh with us. Just being friendly ect ect.

He was a ****** and was acting so for most of the restaurant to see :)

Don't understand guys like cashly and crouch. When you have girlfriend/wives like that why stray?

they are spoiled brats who earn ridiculous amounts of money from a young age. which usually turns them into "i want whatever i see and like".

like that idiot michael jackson before he died, even though he was bankrupt he would still go out shopping and spend over £250,000 on credit in a single store selling crap like faberge eggs.

you do obviously get smart footballers but they are very few.

kyle lafferty who is a small player in scotland has been kicked out of at least 2 rented houses due to his dogs causing more than £30K worth of damage to the homes. his dogs recently ruined a home which sold for 1.75 million a few years back which he managed to stay in for less than 6 months before being booted out.

i dont see why the animal cruelty people havent stepped in, DMX (american multi platinum rapper, has a guinness world record for album sales) was fined and such because he wasnt looking after his dogs and DMX is 1000 times bigger than kyle lafferty in the celebrity scale.

seems like they dont really care in scotland.

Whilst I don't agree with what he's done, he was drunk and horny, most in a similar position would probably have done the same. The saying why have hamburger when you can have steak at home is a an appropriate one, but when you're ****ed, away from home and hungry I'd happily eat the burger. :p

I'm taking it that there's been some sort of confirmation that Crouch done this? If not then why the **** are we taking a NOTW story as fact?

Anyway back to transfers: Degen's joined Stuttgart on loan, Insua's likely to sign for Genoa on Monday and Poulsen, Crouch and Konchesky are reportedly being lined up once Masch joins Inter (or Barca).

Why would Crouch sign for Liverpool? He has Champions League football at the Lane and probably a greater chance for first team football.

We're the biggest club in the world :p

You're right though. He's not likely to start many games for us, even more so now that Cole has signed and lack of first team football was his reasons for leaving but it's being reported in quite a few rags.

:( I don't want Poulsen, Crouch or Konchesky
For all the talk of Hodgson having no control of transfers (I've said it myself a few times) it would appear Poulsen is actually his choice which is rather worrying.

We bought Mascherano who took Sissokos place in the team meaning he moved to Juventus and subsequently took Poulsens place in their team. That would mean:

Mascherano > Sissoko > Poulsen

We're now looking to spend £6 million on a player that isn't as good as the one we sold to Juventus to replace a player that's better than both. If that's not crazy enough we're looking to spend more on Poulsen than we're trying to offload Lucas for. To put it bluntly, whoever decided this would be good business is a spastic.

Spot on regarding Poulsen however I don't think we're trying to offload Lucas. In fact Lucas appears to be one of the players that has impressed Hodgson most in pre-season.

@ whoever said why would crouch join Pool.
Harry wants him gone apparently. I have heard that this recent allegation of using 'young' prostitutes was just the latest in a series of things over the last 6 months and Harry's had enough.

Didn't Lucas say the other week that he was ready to step up and take his place if he goes.

Does position matter? Is Ronaldo a better player than Gary Doherty?

I dont personally believe that you can call x player "miles better" than y player if they play in completely different positions - completely imcomparable:)

i believe he's referring to the wage structure

The comment quoted seems to refer more to playing ability than wages

I'm hearing whispers that Crouch (and Poulsen) to Liverpool is a done deal.

edit: Reported fee of £7m. Maybe Spurs need to sell before they can buy after 'arry spent so much in the previous 18 months.

Of the 3 players I mentioned we've been linked with, Crouch is the only 1 that I wouldn't mind us signing. As well as providing another option, he's capable of playing alongside Torres or up front on his own if and when Torres is injured.

Harry Redknapp fears he will not be able to buy the players he requires to sustain Tottenham's Champions League challenge this year because he is struggling to move players on to provide the transfer funds he needs.

Redknapp has been linked with Manchester City's Craig Bellamy and AC Milan's Klaas-Jan Huntelaar but would need to sell the likes of Robbie Keane, David Bentley, Jermaine Jenas and Alan Hutton before he could spend.

Redknapp said: 'We're not going to win the league, not unless we improve. But if we get the players I want then we've got a chance. I have three players on my list but I would say our chances of getting them are slim because it's very difficult to do deals at the moment.'

At least one opportunity may present itself this week, with James Milner moving to Manchester City for £26million, allowing Aston Villa to make a move for Robbie Keane.

The Tottenham striker was in fine form yesterday, scoring twice as Tottenham beat Fiorentina 3-2 in a friendly at White Hart Lane, and Redknapp claimed that his current form meant that he would not be easily parted from the Irishman.

There were two great finishes from Robbie and those are the type of runs and finishing he's been showing all through pre-season,' said Redknapp. 'I don't want to sell him. It's all very well talking of letting players go but you have to find some better.'

Redknapp took a similar view of Giovani dos Santos, a target for AC Milan and a possible makeweight in any deal for Huntelaar.

The Mexican was a revelation yesterday and Redknapp said: 'He has outstanding ability and we want to keep him. He now has to show that he can do that consistently.'

Keane scored his first after a delightful through-ball from Tom Huddlestone. His second came with a minute to go, 20-year-old Jake Livermore providing on this occasion.

Dos Santos had earlier set up Spurs' first goal by robbing the dawdling Gianluca Comotto and dashing goalwards before pulling back for Roman Pavlyuchenko to tap in.
