Just a tip for new people when you upgrade your tank with new guns etc dont forget you can sell your old modules and shells for credits. I didnt realise this till I had been playing a month or two I just looked in my depot and found all the old modules etc. After I sold them had something like 1.5 million credits!

Another thing to remember is that some modules are shared between tanks.
It is worth putting stock gun/radio/engine back on before you sell a tank to prevent rebuying them for your new tank, as you sell at half the price then rebuy at full price.

And yet another tip, if your crew is 100%+ and u buy the next tank in the tree, bring that crew to the new tank, it will cost u 20K to retrain each crew member, and u will lose 10% of their training unless u drop a skill, but its worth it.
A 100% crew is a lot better than a 75% crew.
Lol i even know a clan mate, who when he bought his tier 10 tank he put a 50% crew on it lol,
in fact iirc he puts 50% crews on every new tank he buys

In the beta I was so excited in getting the Maus, I sold my VK4502 and forgot to remove my crew (wasnt an option in the beta to auto do it). Had to stick a 100% crew in, but lost my 3x secondary skills :(

I've been playing a little while and still didnt know that you can keep 100% of primary skill (at expense of perks etc) without spending gold, can you explain how this works please? :D

You retrain for credits, then go to the personnel file and drop their perk skills for credits. This then fills up their primary skill up to 100% (if they are high enough in the secondary skills in the first place)

always4lora, Stick with it and don't get discouraged by the 'window lickers'. See, I have learnt that from others...

I've only been playing 4 or 5 weeks, but recently had my best (or rather, most satisfying) game so far. Pics coming if they ever get uploaded.

Tried to take advantage of the recent Tier 3 and 4 battles being +80% credits and extra crew XP, made about 3.5million credits.

Anyway got over the M3 Lee trauma and have had lots of fun with the german TD line.

My longest snipe so far..

Still having a lot of fun despite my noob-ness. Anyone tell me how well I'm doing stats wise? Think it's about time I started to learn some proper tanking :)

What mods are you running for the target info?

For anyone with arty (scum)

All your tanks get put back to stock, but you still have all the upgrades in the depot that you had before. All equipment has been demounted and shells reset to 0. Need to spend a bit of time re kitting out all the arty. On a few of mine accelerate crew training had been turned off, so watch out for that.

As a result of all the equipment and some random cash in my gagage (perhaps refunds for guns that are not on the tank anymore as a result of tier change) and after selling all the stock stuff, I ended up almost 900k better off.

yea I always thought that was stupid.

if your only dropping one skill then the difference between credits and the gold way of doing it is about 3% of your total exp or something stupidly small like that

Well from playing a few games, the amount of arty isn't fixed. First game, 3 vs 2. 2nd game 4x t10 vs 4x t10, 3rd game 3vs3. Good job wargaming on that front :p None of those were in toons with other arty.

Shooting vs stationary targets seems the same to me. Shooting moving targets is a lot harder, longer shell travel time and you get a lot more dispersion when aiming somewhere different, even if you tank isn't moving at all. Gun depression seems worse as well, so scouts can still stroll in and kill you.

I would say if you were reasonable at avoiding arty before (as in, actually moved and made it harder to be hit + not sitting in the open when they can hit you very easily) then you wont get hit by arty very much. If you are the type of person to camp in the same spots, sit stationary and in positions its easy for arty to hit you, nothing has changed.

The new "shaking" is terrible as well. I hope there is a way to mod that out as its really irritating.

I've noticed when driving along that the tank seems to stutter, feels like the camera is moving. Its not micro stutter because everything else in the game is smooth

Edit: Fixed it, called dynamic camera of something.

"Penetration" is gone but has once again been replaced with "Critical Hit" :p Also when you bounce on someone it says "they dinged us" instead of "we dinged them"

Seems like you get a lot of scouts per game now as well, just had 14 scouts in a T8 max game

Excellent, thanks for that.

I guess I will be able to do this right now for all my tanks crew that have a secondary skill and less than 100% on the primary

Awesome

:D

TBH I never realised that was there until I posted that screenshot ! Obviously too busy not getting shot at.

All I did was install XVM updater, which installs XVM and Dokan, then added Roughnecks Mods MegaPack (kinda all-in-one mods) and replaced the crosshairs with jimbo's.

Now that I seen it, I'll probably turn that off. Apparently easy to do by editing XVM config

But now 8.6 is out, probably have to wait for all of them to be fixed.

Played a couple of arty games and seems like they are heavily nerfed. Should mean you don't have any problems with arty when you are in a tank, but kind of makes quite a big pool of vehicles in the game obsolescent.

Well first outting in my t3 Lorraine L39 and no change. I can still one shot a Hetzer and give a KV1 a good pasting.

5 kills.

Happy.

dont know whether its me but the sounds are odd.

also not sure whether I like the bigger zoom
