I'm liking this 30% extra credits for being top 3 damage dealer. Only had 2 games this morning, one win that wasn't spectacular and one loss that i only managed to fire 3 shots and still came top 3 in both. The teams are like headless chickens this morning, good for my credit balance but crap for enjoyable games :(
 
Judging by the amount of people not in game after 10 seconds, 30 seconds obviously works well. Gives you time for a drink, or Malibu if you're arknor :p :D
 
Starting the round before all players are in would be daft, you still get the odd couple of players who don't make it in for the 30. It's not long at all really.

Say you played 10 games a day, over a month that's 2.5 hours sat waiting.

Perhaps an extreme and generic example, but an example nonetheless.

And? It will still be a tiny percentage of the overall time sat in front of the PC. I'm all for making best use of my time, but I'm not worried about 30secs. I wouldn't be sat in front of the PC in the first place if time was that tight.

I don't understand why it needs a timer...

Other games will make everyone wait whilst others load and then 10 seconds and off you go..

I don't get why WOT has a silly long preset time don't the devs know how to code?

Because not everyone has fast pc's?

I believe a lot of people playing from Eastern Europe have quite poor PC's which means longer load times. I think this is one of the reasons they appear to be so bad, because they are playing with such a low fps.

Its also not like call of duty where if a few people dont load it doesnt matter, if your missing 1/3 of your team for the first minute or whatever could be the difference between winning and losing.
