** Official World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Thread**

It's odd to me that they're taking this route but their account services are still so expensive. It's the price of server/faction change that stopped me trying the new expansion, I've had all my characters on Daggerspine since launch but it's dead now, and transfering them would cost a fortune. An offer on this, or "any number of transfers from A to B for one price" would get my attention to sub again.

They had everything at 50%off for account services a while back I suspect thats the only way they will make it cheaper. Which I find stupid since if all the dead servers got transfered to popular ones their number ofplayers would surely of stayed higher.

They had a account services at 50% before they announced virtual realms coming in 5.4 and beyond, where realms in a battle group will have linked ah's and be able to be in guilds with x-realmers.

That will spell the end of 90% of profit from realm transfer fees really, so they need something to bump it up i suppose.

Although i can understand the store being trialled within asian markets, when you have a different payment model where you pay for your playtime hour by hour, the endgame becomes much more of a focus ,especially as some have regions on the amount of playtime you can purchase.
why waste 30% of your alloted playtime on levelling when you can get the xp boost and jump ahead.

more announcements for the "pet store" transmog gear and other limited use items a bit like the trading card stuff.

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/10428013

We’ve got some new stuff coming to the Pet Store, and we wanted to give everyone a quick sneak peek. Obviously, the Pet Store has been the place where we sell pets and mounts, but we’ve come up with some new types of cosmetic goodies, including some fun new little toys and Transmogrifiables.

First up: a trio of cosmetic helms for Transmogrification. When Transmog went into the game, people immediately started talking about the possibility of just buying armor looks. So we’re going ahead and forging a few helms and seeing how they fit. They don’t have any stats, they’re just for looks, and you can use them to change the appearance of the helms for any characters of any class or race (they work with all armor types). They’re great for spicing up a Transmog set—or replacing a tier head piece you hate the looks of. No need to check that ‘Hide Helm’ box any longer!

We’re also trying out something else new. A lot of people have liked the kinds of fun, limited-use items you can get from the WoW TCG—so we’re taking that idea to the Pet Store. Soon you’ll be able to snag two fun new little toys: the Seesaw and Hitching Post!

You can jump on the Seesaw with a party member and relive the childhood glee of trying to slam your friend into the ground . . . or you can have a big ogre named Lunk launch them into the air. Really, though, you’ll probably just look super cute gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes. D’awwwww.

True story: Worgen are exactly the same weight as Ogres.

The Iron Hitching Post is a little different: It’s an item you set down that allows you and up to 24 of your closest raiding cohorts to each jump on your own new unearthly Iron Warhorse mount. You can use it for smaller parties too, and it’s also great for Battlegrounds. Imagine the look on your opponents’ faces when they see a unified front of ghost horses galloping toward them . . . just to ruin everything and capture Snowfall Graveyard. (STOP IT!)

So logged in with free gametime to see if anyone was around, ghost town, (Dragonmaw EU)

Is most of the game like this now? I had my suspicions it was and v.glad i havent left the subscription running!

There are still lots and lost of active servers.

When you /who a class or level the search is always capped at 50. Instant PVP/Arena/Heroic pops, and 5 mins LFR max. Really enjoying the game atm.

I have stopped playing for now till the virtual realm thing comes. My server Doomhammer is a ghost town now even though its supposed to be medium pop. Getting things done unless you know people on other servers is now impossible.

For me the game is stale and dieing now anyway.... I do LFR each week and have given up getting frustrated that next to nothing ever drops that I need, other than that I do a bit of archaeology and I was doing relic hunter but have done it now.... I log on and within 10 mins in like *meh* and log off again.

You need a raiding guild. LFR, end game and professions are boring :(

ToT 10 man is superb!

So after 7 odd years of playing WoW I decided to give the PTR a try out. Really impressed, the ability to create level 90 characters and deck them out in full pvp gear is great. Really nice to try all the different characters!!

Oh well managed to get my account locked ( well not the full account just any character that was over lvl 85).
Someone was selling MOP codes for 20k gold in trade and i jumped on it , all was great for around a week and leveled my mage to 90 just tried to log on for a session and can only log into pre MOP characters.
Presume the seller either used a dodgy card or somethingto buy the code.

Probably reported the code as not working. they do that with the mounts.

Hi,

I am thinking of starting playing again after not playing since WoTLK, wouldn't mind giving it a try first.

Anyone got a spare scroll?

Thanks.

Sent you a scroll :)

Surprised people aren't talking about the latest subscriber figures - down to 7.7 million, the lowest since Vanilla WoW.

http://wow.joystiq.com/2013/07/26/world-of-warcraft-down-to-7-7m-subscribers/

Also, Ghostcrawler was in China talking about what's going on with WoW - perhaps another class is in the works?

http://wow.joystiq.com/2013/07/25/new-world-of-warcraft-class-coming-ghostcrawler-drops-a-hint/

I'm a little surprised by the amount the subs have dropped - with at least one more raid to come, and other content being added at a fast rate - this is a good time to be in the game.

Not so sure about the need for a new class (other than keeping players in the game) - do we need another support class? Could Shamans just get a little love?

they talkin about it possibly being a pure support class, but not sure how that would work, even a buffer class like the Bard etc.

I do agree that wow is in a great place at the moment, this expansion has had some great raids in my opinion.

Its been a very harsh expansion on people who like to play multiple toons tho so im sure people have burned out on one char this time.

The truth about the subscriber figures is your never gonna know how many factors are contributing to these drops, my main concern is that as the population get slower, blizz are more likely to make access to the game easier (free) and offer more incentives for people to purchase items that will boost their levelling speed, end game performance etc.

People will say how blizz wouldnt want it to go to that model but tell that to the company when subs drop below 5mil. I doubt the siege of og will bring figures back up altho im looking forward to teh patch myself. The raid looks lovely on the ptr
