** Official World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Thread**

I have played since vanilla with a couple of breaks & have decided to drop my sub again.

We have mostly raided 10 man but it's been getting harder & harder to get our raids going. And I have zero motivation to play other than to raid so... waste of money for me:P Sad that this might be the end as I've had a lot of fun - but I really do think wow's on it's last legs now.

I'm a little surprised by the amount the subs have dropped - with at least one more raid to come, and other content being added at a fast rate - this is a good time to be in the game.

Folks aren't talking about it because no one is playing :D I'm not surprised about the latest drop, there just isn't anything to keep you hooked in, you can see all current raid content within a few weeks at level cap just playing casually thanks to lfr. The 'lore' is just awful, servers are ghost towns with no sight of server mergers so people leave due to that. PvP is still a joke,. The main one though, is that the game really isn't that fun.

Nigh on 50% of you playerbase leaving in 3 years though, that's got to hurt. I can't see WoW ever increasing in sub numbers again, f2p end of the year?

I disagree. The LFR raid content is trash. That is not a proper representation of raiding at all. The lore is actually pretty good and the current story line of escalation is amazing. Doesnt matter that players are dropping off imo. Happens with every game anyway. It's all part of the MMO life cycle and WoW has been super successful for it's life cycle. People just want something new and it'll happen soon enough.
 
I'm not surprised that the subs have plummeted, either. I LOVE WoW and put a lot of money and years into it, but it just felt too bloated to me. There were just too many things to do, yet it only felt worthwhile doing them if they acted towards 'end game' stuff and if they did, it would mean grind, grind, grind.

I loved the casualness of BGs, but quickly discovered that (due to being in a Horde-disadvantaged battlegroup) it would take thousands and thousands of games to get decent gear. It became overwhelming, really.

Of course, I could have moved server, but that would mean paying for 5-6 high level characters too. Far, far too pricey.

An additional phase or 2 doesn't entice me to do 'normal' raiding one bit, I have seen the end boss of this tier (outside hc mode), so that's all I really want from raiding. I don't care about loot, never have, if I wanted to experience the game I had to get a raid group. I don't have to now, there is lfr!

Lore wise, the expac is a million miles behind vanilla, hc & even lk. It's cheesey, bad western ideals about Asian culture, right down to the bad Asian accents.

The horde lore etc is good didnt say the mop lore. LFR is boring.. and the tactics behind the actual bosses are much better.. there arent extra phases the tactics are just there and used... LFR is **** and unless you actually raid I don't think you have an opinion to say LFR is a realistic representation of raid content. But whatever.

I have raided outside LFR this expansion and yes the raids are dull, the only difference is a phase in the main, whooppeeee, but whatever.

Which raids did you do and when did you do them... if they were old content when you had full LFR gear thats not really a fair assumption... and as to my knowledge current raid tier there is no extra phase on any boss..
 
I've been offered a place in a raiding group that have ToT 25-man normal on farm and are just starting the heroic side and although I want to go along and experience it I just...

...can't be bothered?

I know it sounds so harsh and they sound like a decent bunch but I don't want to spend 3 nights a week worrying about eeking every last drop of DPS out of my rotation.

I miss the days when people used to raid for fun. :(

I've stepped foot into ToT, true only 1 or 2 bosses down but I just can't be bothered to go back (mind you haven't been bothered to do any lfr stuff for 3 or 4 weeks too)
 
I'm not playing these days due to work/life and the last expac left me feeling bored of the lore.

I would like to see a return of the Burning Legion, that I would come back for.

I just kind of feel WoW has moved so far away from WC3 content that its now well...

Not what I wanted to play.
 
LFR wasnt designed to be anything but a way for people to see the content and "raiding" that were not part of raiding guilds. In that goal they have achieved what they wanted to do.

I dont have the time at the moment to spend a few nights a week progressing through normals so if it wasnt for LFR i wouldnt have seen any of the raid content this expansion.

Now that ive got my 600 cloak ive pretty much stopped playing on my main till 5.4, and im really enjoying just mucking around on a few alts. Still no interest in PVP so been trying out some class combos ive not tried before and seein a bit of the horde lore since ive been alliance this expansion.

Although im not raiding p[roper at the moment i gotta say still enjoying WOW, ofc its gonna lose popularity, this year will be the 10th anniversary if im not mistaken and thats remarkable for any game genre never mind an mmo.
 
Haven't been playing at all since I cleared ToT. Think I will do the last raid of this expansion with my guild for the social aspect and then finally put this game to rest.

Someone needs to be sacked over the way the game is at the moment, been on a decline ever since WoTLK

Can't help but agree. Certain aspects have been good. But the whole get everyone to play campaign really wrecked it.
 
so many nice people in this game.......just dinged 90 for the first time this weekend and have started to gear up for pvp. I still finish in the top 5 on damage done and killing blows yet i get whispered about being a noob because of my gear.

Like some of these people came out of their mam's snatch clad in epics. :mad:
 
desperately trying, and failing, for my 600 cloak....

then not sure what to do with my main. enjoying gearing up my alt warr atm and tanking LFR.

i want to be in a raiding guild but times never work for me so LFR is best i can hope for.

my server (moonglade eu) is also a bit of a ghost town. virtual realms cant come soon enough.
