Yep, you're right. Whoops ;)

IIRC whenever a new tier is released they will convert your valor points to justice so nobody gets a headstart on collecting the new gear.

Indeed. Justice Points should also be turned to gold at the same time IIRC.
 
Just so you know, if you change the accounttype cvar in your config.wtf file to CT you'll be able to preload the Cataclysm content even if you haven't pre-ordered online.
 
Thinking of changing the class i level first in cata, was going to level my main first for obvious reasons, but i was also thinking i might level a different character for the purpose of rolling dual gathering professions and basically aking a fortune the first couple of weeks due to the demands for professions.

It's a toss up between druid, lock, shaman or priest.
 
Druids are good for the gathering professions, you can mine and herb in flight from so you save time not dismounting and remounting.
 
So these Justice Points we are now accumulating, does anyone know at which patch they will be reverted to gold? (and when?) if they do.
Also, is it all justice points or only points over the cap?

Because I'm near 4k and if they are all going to go poof I'm just going to spend it all on jewelcrafting mats and make a few k gold.
People are eating up gems like it's the last candy store on earth on Turalyon.
 
From what I have read its only points over the 4K cap will get converted to gold. So if you have less you will keep them.

yup pretty much doing the same.
 
Right to clarify this (I might be wrong), if you had over 4k cap in 4.0.1 when they did the conversion from badges to justice points, those additional points (over cap) could be converted into 2g (or 30-40s cant remember if they nerfed it) per JP in the next patch. If however you did not go over cap during the badge to jp conversion it doesnt affect you since you cannot go past 4k.

E.g.

4.0.1 (badge to JP conversion)
4800 JP
next patch 800 of those points will be converted into gold.

4.0.1 (badge to JP conversion)
3800 JP
you wont be able to convert any of this into gold since you cannot go past 4k JP

I think this is correct, might be wrong like I said.

So if y ou are saying that you arent over the cap and nearing 4k, then yeah either spend them and sell gems to make money or just save em since you cannot go past 4k.

Folks, there are plenty of patch mirrors here, just paste it into the correct folder (Updates) and then you wont need to download it via the downloader, which is awful and slow most of the time.
