Oh-noes seeking tyre advice?

If the tracking is out you can wear the edges of the tyres usually the inner edges due to the wheel not being trully aligned and the tyre being forced in a non true direction.

Tyres pressures would wear uneven too. I suspect your driving style, do you wheel spin much?

I check the tyre pressure, normally monthly, set the fronts to 34 and the rears to 32. No I don't wheel spin everywhere but as I said I do tend to drive the car hard, so for example when I get onto the A40 on my way to and from work I will tend to floor it.

Might be useful, what is the wear rating on your current tyres? If it's particularly low that may explain some of it and help you choose new tyres.

Interesting site there, the PS3s aren't there but the PS2s have a wear rating of 220, the F1 asyms aren't listed but the they do have the F1 Eagles listed which also have a rating of 220.

The Conti CS2 have a rating of 280 so might give them a go.

EDIT: Just checked the Potenza's RE40 and RE50, they have a wear rate of only 140, are they really that soft? Thought they were quite a hard tyre.

Wear ratings are largely useless as there's no independent body.

They're a good way of seeing how different tyres within the SAME brand wear, but cross brands they can't be trusted.
