Earlier this week I noticed my van dripping diesel from underneath. I had the AA pop out and take a look at it and they worked it out to be knackered injectors causing it to overfuel and drip out of the overflow/breather pipe (which explains the whopping 15mpg I've been getting recently! :D).

I rang our fleet department last night to arrange it to go in for repairs and to sort out a hire van. I was told "we don't have any long wheel base vans in at the moment, would a smaller one be ok?". I figured that I don't use everything on my van at the moment so I told them "yes, a smaller transit would be fine."

I turned up at the Vauxhall dealer this morning, booked mine in and then sat waiting for the hire van to turn up.

30 minutes later a Citreon Berlingo pulled into the car park. Hardy a small transit :(

I've had to cram my tools and smaller ladders into the back and left almost all my powertools on my Movano. How on earth do they expect me to unload a fully laden 3.5t lwb van into a ruddy Berlingo?

I'm completely stuffed next week unless I get a job in a bungalow and don't need anything bigger than a large battery drill.

isnt a berlingo a people carrier aswell? :p couldnt you of asked for somethink else?

Apparently it's about the only thing they can get to me at the moment. It's either that or a Vauxhall Combo and I would rather castrate myself that have to spend any more time in a Combo.

I drove a Berlingo from Manchester to Kent and back in a day :D

It felt rapid off the line (ZOMG  diesel TORKS!!), but when you looked at the speedo, you couldn't help but laugh.

I've got over a tonne in the back, it's doesn't even feel rapid off the line and it doesn't help that the clutch seems to be held in place by some sort of industrial spring :p
